15JUL2025TUE NEW SUBJECT : In such a day were apps allow you to pay for things before you pick them up. Why in the world can't Walgreens allow you to pay for your prescriptions using your express card on file with the store and if it's empty allow you to enter a credit card information to pay for something before you pick it up it would make the arduous weight in line at least at this location more expeditious

I called 3 times yesterday and held for a half hour each time, when my turn came someone picked up and placed me on hold again, and then picked up and disconnected the call. I also tried the call back feature where you press 1 and they call you when itās your turn- never got a call back. Called the store and asked to speak to a manager, then spoke to Colton who said, āyea sorry about that, itās been crazy busy and everyone just keeps calling and coming in.ā Iāve never spoke to someone that blamed customers. Arenāt customers the people that keep you in business??? Well, he transferred me to someone in pharmacy directly. What happens? The same thing. I hold for nearly 30 minutes and get hung up on. I call back, ended up speaking with another person who helped get someone on the pharmacy to answer. What I needed took less than60 seconds. She got my name, the prescription information I needed and said ok, we will get it filled. Flash forward to today, I realized I didnāt get a text that my prescription was ready. So I am yet again on this never ending cycle of holding and getting hung up on. Going to the store is not much better. You wait in line in the drive threw for close to an hour for them to say, āItās not ready. Try back in an hour.ā Even though they told you yesterday that it would be ready yesterday. Amy, the assistant store manager, was very short with me today & rude with an attitude. I had my original receipt, but the cashier placed all my return on a store credit & not $1 on a store credit & the rest of the amount back on my debit card so she called a manager to assist her. I had originally made my purchase & used my store credit with $1 on it & put the rest of the purchase on my debit card.
Amy, the manager, stated that she couldn't post void the return transaction and return my money back to my card because the receipt didn't print a bar code. She did nothing to resolve the issue & seemed like I was a bother to her. The store made the mistake but I was left feeling like I inconvenienced them. There was no apology for the inconvenience or for the mistake made & no resolution for my issue.
This store needs better managers with kindness, respect & the ability to make customers feel like their valued. Amy needs to learn how to handle issues in a professional & courteous way for all customers. If it wouldn't have been for Amy's attitude then the situation wouldn't have escalated.
