Sake Japanese House — Restaurant in Mebane

Cake here last weekend, didn’t really have any issues. Wanted to go back tonight so we did. We come in and are told the wait was about 30-45 mins. That was fine. Sit there for over an hour and 15 mins, a group of 10 came in about 30 mins prior to this. They seat them and leave us sitting. So giving the benefit of the doubt, I waited a little longer. Eventually go ask when we will be seated since they say the other group and explained how long we’ve been waiting. Well, the lovely response I get “we don’t know who was first and we only have one cook”. We just left because it was going to end up being another hour at least. We sat at the hibachi table. The cook was excellent and very entertaining. However they will overcharge you when the bill comes if your not calculating yourself. They added things we didn't order and then they changed the prices on things we did order. I called them out on it and they said the prices on the menu has changed and they can't just keep printing out new menus everytime their prices change. Huh??! I told them thats false advertising and made them fix my bill. There is no way our bill should have been $119 for three hibachi dinners and a $2.99 lemonade. It's sad that these establishments try to swindle people out of extra money and think American people are just supposed to deal with it. Also they add a 18% gratuity automatically. It's like your being robbed...

To start I placed the order online for it to be ready around 345, placed an hour ahead. My husband gets there and right off the bat the dude at the register was rude, they messed up our order, they claimed someone had picked up my order an hour before it was even supposed to be ready, then tried saying we had to pay AGAIN! My husband shut that down because there'd be no reason to charge us again when we didn't even get our food yet...then the food has to be "re-made," so he has to wait and it was almost 30 minutes after the time it was supposed to be ready which isn't that big of a deal but the employee was rude, the food was okay, and we were short a soup.
