Disappointed with Kohl's aggressive and quick submission of late payment to credit agency.
I don't ever plan to shop at the store again. If this is how they value customers then I will have nothing to do with them.
I have shopped at Kohl's for a number of years and spent a few thousand dollars there. I had a Kohl's charge card year's ago. I had no late payments. I resisted acquiring the charge card again because I don't like opening multiple charge card accounts. Just over a year and a half ago I opened up the charge card account because Kohl's constantly promotes the card with added sales discounts to get customers to acquire the card. I finally got it reluctantly. After setting up the account, there was a delay in receipt of the invoice which I set up to be sent to my PO Box. Since I normally always paid with my credit card for purchases, I had forgotten about the charge card and statement. By the time I got it and reviewed it, I was a few days late on making the payment. Mind you, I could have paid the bill at the register or upon receipt of the statement. I seek to set up auto payment with my recurring charge accounts because I don't have to worry about whether or not I paid. But for some reason I could not initially do so, as I recall. Nonetheless, I had a second statement that I arrived in which I was unfortunately a few days late because I had not set up the auto pay. I admit that this was an oversight. Nonetheless, Kohl's reported to the credit agencies that I was late. So now I have a late payment indicator on my credit report. This is totally bull. I immediately cancelled my card. I don't ever plan to shop at the store again. If this is how they value customers then I will have nothing to do with them. They don't waste any time to nearly drag a customer to sign up for the card, and then if a couple payments are late for a few days report them to the credit agencies. Again, one of the late payments was an oversight. I have the money to pay it. My credit is very good. Like I said I normally have these types of account set up on auto pay. Shame on Kohl's for being short-sighted and opportunistic with...
Read moreI like store was my 1st time going I ask for assistance from young African American young lady 18 to 20 years old assisted as best than referred me to Anna I presume mgr. I she seemed rather know it all ish type of personality which is good and bad, I preferred she dial it down a notch or 2. The good thing 1st she was knowledgeable about majority of things and she helped by typing on touch screen about 6 foot 4 inches tall. The touch screen needs to be repaired because I initially thought it was Anna whom is Caucasian perhaps german or Ukrainian. Kept taping my information and kept messing up and hit the keys. I interjected by trying to assist her seeing it was set up like typical keyboard the keyboard did not respond when tapping on it, my personal opinion if it's a touch screen it shouldn't be stuck. I then moved back and allowed Anna to bang or tap in ordered to get these jeans 👖 name Amanda like my daughter Amanda this pass Sunday for her birthday which was the next day 13th. Anna was able to give me a 15% discount on jeans which was delightful because jeans prior I looked at was less inexpensive compared to what I purchased. I might major concern was that Anna didn't have a face mask and was coughing her head off drastically and because I had on my mask and she handled my card in order to make purchase and omnicron covid is out was a major concern. I wipe card and hands off but that evening I went home had a cough and I wasn't coughing prior to entering store. Anna needs a mask if she continues to work at your place of business and be evaluated for omnicron because I hope I have nothing. In addition the cashier I had afterwards needs more training and the supervisor was nice but didn't listen to me to see if she would provide birthday discount or one Anna used. By the way Anna is about 58 to 66 years old and thin frame with glasses you can look at video 📹 day of visit. My birthday is this week and some stores offer birthday discounts. They didn't understand or offer discount even after I explained to them. I was happy 😊. With my products but something should have...
Read morePretty big store that is mostly well organized. Except for the clearance section, making it very difficult to find the right sizes in there. I know it's just clearance stuff, but c'mon now, it's ridiculously disorganized! They have a whole shoe section with some great brand names and some cheaper options as well. They still sell bathing suits now which is great if you're going away and need a new suit. Not many places to buy in person during the winter. Not a huge Kohls fan myself. Was using a gift card from Christmas. I feel most of their stuff is overpriced unless on clearance. I think I find even better deals on better quality at the Merrimack outlets. But got some decent stuff from clearance racks. And a pair of shoes on sale. Returned some items from my last trip that didn't fit when I first walked in. Then went to check out the sales. Heard my name called over speaker to return to customer service a few minutes later. Cashier had found 2 items stuck together and wanted to make sure I got refund for that item. An extra $30 worth. That was incredibly honest and helpful. Probably wouldn't have noticed until I got home and went over receipts. So they definitely impressed me with that, and I was much more willing to spend most of my refund there. Even if I was the only one in the store and they weren't busy at all. Still a great job and professional honest attitude. If you like Kohls I would definitely recommend trying this location. Lots to choose from and lots of...
