Update: I filed a complaint with Marriott TWICE, and they closed my case twice with zero communication and refuse to give a refund for the disgusting conditions that we had to stay in. Their resolution was to offer us award points that were equivalent to $40, even though we have zero desire to stay in another Marriott hotel after this. I have reported them to the Medford Health Dept. and disputed the charge with my credit card company. You would think the least that they could do is simply provide a refund.
Do NOT stay here! I regularly travel and have stayed at many hotels, this is by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. When we first arrived, our toilet was full of toilet paper and would not flush (this tells you they did NOT clean the toilet). We walked downstairs to let the front desk know and they said they would send someone up to look at it. We went out for a few hours, came back, and it was still there! So, we had to go back to the front desk and they said “oh.. our engineer left for the day so he can’t fix it.” I stared at her for at least 45 seconds before she said “we can have house keeping come plunge it.. or we could just move you to another room”… okay, another room is fine (and preferred).. but we would have liked to know that beforehand so we weren’t exhausted after being out and driving all day, and then also having to bring all of our bags downstairs to the lobby, exchange our room keys, and go back up again to our room. By this point, we’re already extremely annoyed and tired. The first thing we see is that there is VOMIT in BOTH TRASH CANS! Disgusting! The toilet was not clogged this time, but the room was nasty! The bedding had brown stains at the bottom, pubic hair on the toilet seat, brown and red stains on the towels, shower gel in the shower (once again, not cleaned!) and smelled STRONG like cupcakes/vanilla, our view changed from a view on the sky and trees to looking at another building (not a huge deal, just aggravating for what we paid for the room), tea and coffee were not restocked, dirt on the floor.. the list goes on. If it hadn’t been late and we were exhausted, we would have gone to a different hotel. The parking was also terrible. They only have a few spots actually by the hotel, which were all full. So we had to park at least a block away in a parking garage and then walk all the way back, which felt very unsafe. We woke up multiple times during the night because it was extremely loud, the bed was also very uncomfortable. We opened our door to go check out, and the “do not disturb” sign is off of our door and slid halfway underneath with someone’s FAKE NAIL beside it. Of course, our stay was not complete without a farewell from an extremely rude employee at the front desk when we were validating our parking ticket. I have no idea why this hotel is priced as high as it is, I’ve stayed at budget hotels that were a million times nicer than this place. I will be contacting Marriott to get a refund. This place is horrible - stay...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE. I never leave bad reviews, but this is the absolute WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. To start, the parking situation is the strangest setup I have ever seen. There are barely any parking spots directly beside the hotel, leaving the majority of guests to park in the garage across the street. Not a huge deal, but definitely an inconvenience. The worst part of this hotel though is the cleanliness. I have been on many roadtrips, which included staying at budget hotels without even checking reviews, but this is the most disgusting hotel I have ever step foot in. When my girlfriend and I arrived, the toilet was clogged with toilet paper, so obviously the bathroom was not sanitized. We asked for someone to come fix the toilet while we went out to grab dinner, and were told it would not be a problem as long as our do not disturb sign was not hanging. We came back to the same situation, which meant we had to go to the front desk to ask what was going on. She informed us that the engineer had left for the night, then proceeded to blankly stare at us as if we were going to stay in a nasty room with a clogged toilet. After what seemed like a minute of being stared at, she offered to switch our rooms. We went upstairs to grab all of our belongings before heading back to the front desk so she could switch our room. Another inconvenience, but not a huge deal. We went up to the new room, which had a horrible view, was beside the elevator that is extremely loud, and again, this room was also nasty.. but it was even worse. There was throw up on the trash cans, hair on the toilet seat, the shower had not been cleaned, the bed sheets were stained, towels were stained with what looked like blood.. the list goes on and on. We slept here only because we were so exhausted after driving 6+ hours and being out all day, but we would have preferred to leave. To make matters worse, we filed a claim with Marriott right after checking out of the hotel as I wanted a refund after staying in this health hazard of a room. They said they would call in 3-5 business days, but never did so. I called today to get an update, and was informed that Marriott just automatically credited me 5,000 points ($45) - mind you the room was extremely overpriced at $254 per night, plus another $13 to park in the sad excuse of a parking lot (they did validate our garage parking, but this place should definitely not charge for parking when there are approximately 20 parking spots available near the hotel). Overall just a TERRIBLE experience.
DO NOT STAY at this DISGUSTING "hotel"!!! You'd be better off going...
Read moreOverall, my stay was comfortable. The environment was quiet enough for my needs. The room was clean, upon first entrance. A bit of a water puddle on the bathroom floor, next to the shower stall, in the corner. Liked the eco toilet with the two water volume levels and the larger seat. Would have liked one more clothes hook setup in there but the situation was manageable as it was. Nice day/night lighting, though the subdued nature of it may make it more of a challenge for applying makeup and such. Room's window view was poor; looked out to an adjacent building and parking lot. I thought that making room reservations well in advance would assure me a nice(r) view; not the case. One needs to fully raise the fabric screen curtain up to look out the window or lower the shade in order to have full privacy/screen outdoor light; no option to have partial view, as in blinds. My situation required the screen to be fully down for nearly my entire stay. Floors (the laminate wood and carpeted sections) were comfortable to the feet. I'm glad there were multiple waste baskets; I used one strictly for recyclable materials. Bed was comfy; would have liked a couple of those pillows to be a bit softer...all were pretty firm. Storage was fine. Glad to have the mini fridge, microwave, coffee/tea nook. The ironing board in the clothes open-closet cubby hole occasionally flopped over into my clothes; no hook was noticed to place the board on. Travelers take note: "available parking" is NOT the same as, "free parking available". The fee at this particular hotel and time period was $12/day. This is important to know, especially for travelers who are on a budget and wish to generously tip housekeeping staff, etc. The hotel is conveniently situated within walking or w/c distance of nearby all-purpose shopping and dining businesses. WiFi service is available, if you need it. The hotel staff was friendly, pleasant, and helpful to my needs. Tasty breakfast options. I did not use any of the gym/pool offerings. Occasionally, there were hotel patrons present in the lobby or walking in a hallway without a COVID-19 pandemic-protective face...
