Paid $1,500 here for a space with no countertops or anything really, meanwhile my new place costs the same and has in-unit laundry, a dishwasher, garbage disposal, private patio, storage unit, pool, two bedrooms, a walk in closet, and a second bathroom. In a NICER area.
No one would ever respond to me within the time frame given after emailing. No one would work with me during rough times or work with me on a solution. Honestly just money hungry and had no regard for tenants. Meanwhile, again, in our new apartment we had a couple issues and my landlord immediately got it taken care of.
40 parking spaces in a place that has 100+ tenants but the entire surrounding area has limited and timed parking? And then $50 per parking spot? Not only does our new place offer plenty of FREE parking, it’s only $20 for a private covered spot.
Also, my car got vandalized twice parking in front of the apartment complex. Plus two parking tickets because god forbid I don’t take time out of my day to move the car every 2-3 hours. Not to mention, my partner worked night shifts and had to park her car out there during the day while she was sleeping. Did the apartments and city expect her to wake up every 2 1/2 hours to move her car in time? Or was I supposed to quit my job to do that for her AND my car? Had to pay $250+ in tickets because of this. And the property management says it’s not their fault? No…it is. If you’re going to rent out apartments for the price they are when they’re maybe at most 400 square feet then maybe at least offer more parking. Not all of us get the privilege of having nice close by jobs or the ability to not run errands…or have the money to have someone do it for us. Some of us have a car out of genuine necessity. Like when I have to drive across town to a cheap grocery store to use my food stamps at or get to work because I work THREE cities away to make decent money. The job I busted my butt to get when your company refused to work with me on rent after getting fired for discrimination against my disability.
When you see cops storm your apartment floor, it makes you pretty uncomfortable— especially when you have 5 and 9 year old sisters who come over. And then find out it’s because some psycho drug addict was robbing places and damaging the complex’s property. But the property won’t tell you that, the neighbors do after watching the whole thing happen.
Every other day there’s an OD or stabbing across the street in the park and we got front row seats. So much for enjoying the window’s view.
Sketchy or rude neighbors yelling at their baby mamas and daddy’s gets old fast. Neighbors waking your entire floor up at 3am for months and the company not doing anything about it because there’s no “proof” and can’t find out who it is gets old even faster.
Getting told our security deposit should cover everything we couldn’t pay in the end but then my partner who worked in a cleaning company that ended up assigning her to our apartment got fired when she was told not to clean two things by the property manager who then tells us it’ll actually be $55 an hour and will be taken out of our deposit when we spent 3 weeks cleaning it after moving out early just to get the hell away and make sure everything was good to go.
We moved out and I still cannot escape the actual hell this apartment was. I was told we wouldn’t really owe money and now that’s not the story. Even better, when we get that total, our new apartment’s rent will be due. So we’re still getting screwed over even AFTER LEAVING. The story is never straight, everything is handled so unprofessionally, good luck even getting...
Read moreThis place is a joke. I wrongfully ignored the reviews and still moved in and soon after realized my mistake. to begin they are almost impossible to reach and have gone through 5 new managers in the last 2 years. No one answers the phones ever, probably because no one is ever in the office that’s placed in the lobby. they hire people with no background check or care who end up doing dr* in the apartments and hiding peoples contact information and then began contacting young women whom live in the building. It’s very sad because the building itself is very special and charming but not worth the $1400 they are charging people. The elevator is always broken, to the point of people being stuck for 45 minutes or more and they do not care. Not even when disabled people on the 6th floor are stuck in their apartment building because they physically can not walk down so many flights of stairs. The walls are so thin, everything breaks on you. The first day i moved in I put a towel on the towel rack (literally what it’s for) and it ripped right out of the wall. The laundry machines are nasty and barely work. The “amenities” they talk about aren’t even real, the gym/computer area is never even open. It is also an unsafe place to live as there’s been many accounts of people being robbed in the apartments parking lot during the day. Honestly i wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. They should have multiple lawsuits against them & the negligence they have towards people and there so called “luxury apartments” The only person who does any good around their is the woman who cleans/takes care of the building. Hopefully this saves someone’s wallet and happiness by taking the advice in the reviews and...
Read moreYou’ll either love it or hate it. I liked it at first, but then everything started to become worse. They scheme you. We moved here for about $1,600 a month. They eventually changed rent down to $1,200 and we are still paying $1,600. It’s listed but here’s a reminder , no dish washer , no thermostat, $2 for every load of laundry downstairs. There are heaters in the walls and ours was broken. There are unit ACs. I understand the wear and tear of things, but it is also broken. Our toilet is also kind of broken. The maintenance guy is the best thing about this place. Management is not. I’m more than positive our neighbors were smoking crack or something. The smell would leak into our bathroom. There is a fee for paying for your rent online so stick to checks. If you lose your keys that is about $50. These are just a few things I wish I knew before moving here. There are cute little community get togethers, but other than that and how conveniently placed this apartment complex is, I wouldn’t...
