Today I needed a couple of items. I had my service dog. Anne was at the register. My dog took a few seconds too long to get my items out of the basket to put onto the counter. Before she could get the first item, Anne said,' I have to get to lunch, and I have customers waiting (there weren't then). I said I am a customer! I also had to tell her my dog was an accomplished service dog. What she did interfered with my dog's duties, upset me and my caregiver had to complete the purchase. My dog could not do her job because this person was in too much of a hurry. Anne used this same attitude when I shopped there previously without my service dog. Just because you can't see a disability doesn't mean there isn't one. Just because a dog wears a jacket doesn't make it a service dog. But when you prevent or create a difficulty for a service dog to perform it causes a problem the next time she has to do her job, and creates a problem for me the next time. I will not shop here again for any reason. EVER. I AM A PERSON! I AM A CUSTOMER TOO! edit later: the day after I posted this, the owners reached out to me with an apology. I appreciate...
Read moreI went to this store to see if I could find some woodless pencils and charcoal, and I finally found some here! They have great selections and everything you could think of when it comes to creation. I've never used this style of pencil before and Leland was amazing at helping me! He explained the best way to sharpen them, and even gave me a hack! He was great to talk to about art, the store, and all the classes they have that I didn't know about. I really appreciated his help and passion for art, I even got to see some of his work! If you want to go to an art store with actual artists and people who know the craft, this is your stop. I'll now be coming here for all my art needs, and hopefully take some classes. Thanks for all your help Leland, I really...
Read moreService is great, staff is very friendly and helpful! But I've noticed a sudden increase in prices. They were having a sale on M.Grahm & co gouache paint, usually their prices are $8-12 per tube, saw they were having a 50% off and buy 3 get 1 free sale (for the brand) so I bought 8. Read my receipt as I left the store and realized the price for each tube was upped to $15 per tube, so I was basically just paying normal price again. I turned around and returned them all. Also bought a canson watercolor art board, price was $50. The exact same one is $30 online or at Michael's. I've always been a fan of supporting small businesses, but it's hard to do that when you're raising your prices on locals and repeating...
