I was excited and truly happy with my first visit checking out the store and after doing business with them, I'm not truly convinced on the accuracy of the reputation that is left with these 5 star reviews but they aren't as bad either so I give them a 4 star
Pros: This store is the best in Medford, for product display and availability of having a variety of things that offer upgrades to your car/ boats audio system 2.Their work is clean and professionally done. No one is perfect and I'm sure they can mess up at times but they reassure you that if its their mistake they will fix it. With that being said, if they do work with your products that you didn't get from them, they will be more hard on you and most likely will blame your products 3.Benefit of doing business with them is if you buy their stuff they discount their labor, which can't be offered at other places because they lack selection. Not here at Pro Audio
Cons: They don't tend to typically follow up which is a bummer knowing that I spent almost 4k at their store. You'd think they want to make sure they get referrals and have happy customers. They do take pride in customer satisfaction and service but I don't believe it is their number 1 priority right off the gate. I'm sure they are very knowledgeable and very experienced as a store but the guy that I had was very vague and wasn't as helpful as I wanted him to be when it comes to explanations of either overcoming my sale objections or diagnosing issues. Which is a red flag because building trust is super important for customer service.
I would go get audio work done at this place, because the places here in town are limited and not as big comparing to pro audio. But I would do a bunch of research and homework before doing so.
Brandon wasn't the one who sold me everything I got but I wish he was originally. He was great last visit I had with them. He took care of me when I asked for help. Make sure you ask for him!
I'm sure the owner will respond with their side of the story, them telling me that having a cheap head unit is not a good idea with the JL audio sound system I got from them. Which was the case but I'm not even complaining about that so its pretty irrelevant. Hope things change for the better at this place

Read moreI’m pretty disappointed how much Pro Audio has changed over the decades. I’ve been going to them since the 90’s. My most recent install has been a huge headache. I’ve spent several thousand already and it still doesn’t sound right. I had to spend $500 for a DSP that’s supposedly specifically made to fix the audio in my car, but the bass has very little oomph on the bottom end. Sure it hits, but doesn’t have nearly the oomph it did in my old car that didn’t even need the DSP. I’ve complained about the giant thump for the amp turn on/off, multiple times. They say it’s normal. It’s not though. Any professional installer would never let a high end system have that. I’ve addressed the rattles of my rear deck numerous times as well. They put some foam back there and it helped a little but is still very loud. Louder than 2 12” subs even? I’ve already spent so much money with them and still have these major issues. I even upgraded my amp to a $1500 very high end amp, and still has the power thump, lack of deep bass, and massive rattles. With how much I’ve spent I really don’t see how any professional/certified MECP or whatever it is installer and business would think that’s okay to leave their shop. Instead of fixing the issues they just upsell me to more expensive items amp/sub. But never fixed the underlying issues. $500 for a dsp that didn’t fix the issues I was told it was specifically designed for. I have been a loyal customer for decades, and after all this I really don’t think I’ll be going back if they don’t fix the rattles I paid them to fix, fix the bass I paid them to fix, and fix the loud thump during power on/off. I also shouldn’t be charged more for them to fix the issues I already paid them to fix but didn’t fix properly...
Read moreI normally don’t write reviews, but after spending over $2,000 for new speakers and installation, I feel it’s important to share my experience.
When I picked up my truck, the front door speakers weren’t even working. Literally, not making a sound. On top of that, the system was & sounded poorly tuned — with zero bass despite being a major upgrade. For that kind of investment, you expect quality control and a system that’s ready to enjoy when you drive off the lot.
I then had to waste additional time calling, bringing the vehicle back in, and sitting through another hour of troubleshooting before they figured out that the built-in equalizer was set incorrectly. Got that sorted, and sound was much better. Still not at the level I'd asked for from the beginning of the quoting process, but at least close to high quality.
The staff was friendly and timely, but friendliness doesn’t make up for a lack of competence. A high-end audio install should be done right the first time, not after the customer chases the problem around. Friendliness and grace for small business keeps this from...
