Charleys Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in Mehlville

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION PLEASE. To be fair, normally I enjoy their food, but this isn’t a food quality issue.

With today being New Years Day, I’m sure a large majority of us didn’t feel like cooking and may have a little bit of a hangover, so ordering something usually good like a Philly Cheesesteak would hit the spot, right? Well not today.

I decided to give Uber eats a try for the first time ever. Besides taking an hour and 20 minutes for my food to arrive, it was ice cold, colder than my ex Mother-in-law‘s heart, bag was soggy, making it rip, boxes were wet, and zero ice in our drinks.,

I tried to call, but there is no working number for that location, so I decided to get in my car and (which I was trying to avoid) and give back the food thinking they would replace it. Besides being rude and NOT apologizing whatsoever, I was told “ yeah we saw that sitting there.” For OVER an hour before Uber eats decided to pick it up and I understand that they were busy today they said that since I ate a couple of the cold fries they couldn’t replace those even though they tossed my cold fries away.

They also wouldn’t replace my drinks I ordered because all my drinks ice melted due to them sitting for over a hour. Most people would think they would be more accommodating to my issue, but they treated me like a Third World refugee! I’ve been treated better at freaking Jack-in-the-Box for two tacos for a dollar so buyer beware.

This is nationwide chain so to me I believe they could care less I should’ve took my business to a small mom and pop shop that’s barely surviving not some overpriced and overrated sub shop in the mall....

I’ve been eating here twice a week since starting my new job . Food always fire and fresh. Well today I noticed the guy had gloves on leaning on the counter .There was no customers not 1 but me. So I say before I order I just want to make sure he can switch his gloves ; not sure what he has touched or how long he has had them on. Because why are they even on and you’re doing nothing but leaning & you presume to make people food that’s gross put new gloves on. Get to work and I gave half to my coworker. She said this isn’t done. It even smells like it’s not done, look how light this chicken is and look at other people photos. I guess I made him mad by asking for fresh gloves. Which is crazy. They always move quick so I thought nothing of the fact that my sandwich was already done. So I’ll be sure to give my coworkers a heads up this the time y’all on. Don’t play with my food. Ordered a cheesesteak and they told me that my number was 30. I never heard my numbered called so.i waited for about 10 minutes then went to the counter. I asked the guy who was making the sandwiches if they had called 30 and he proceeded to tell me yes a king time ago and that they gave my sandwich away because I didn't come and get it. They other guy told him to make me a new sandwich and the guy looked at me and started yelling saying you should have come up and got your sandwich and now i have to make another one etc. Then started going back and forth with the other worker. The cashier stepped in and said don't worry ma'am we are going to make you another sandwich. Then told him to make the sandwich.
