Mattress Firm South County — Hotel in Mehlville

So my wife and I had been talking about butong a new mattress basically since we got together. The one we were using was a hand-me-down, and was not only beyond its serviceable life, but had springs creating pressure points and numb spots on us. We ended up at matress Firm in So. County, and was greeted by the salesperson there, Greg. His knowledge on all the products in store, along with his ability to read our reactions and show us what would suit us better, was stunning. Encyclopedic is probably the better word. After we told him that my wife had back surgery, and I shoulder surgery, he showed us what he deemed the best possible item for each of our tastes. We went in there knowing that we probably would not be in a scenario where we would spring for the best bed possible bed for us in the future again any time soon, so we decided to get the best possible bed set that we could afford NOW. Greg not only recognized cues we were giving off, but directed us to the next best item in line for what we sought. Greg was consummate, professional, and extremely knowledgeable in his product. We ended up with a lot of the bells and whistles that were accessory options, but USB outlets and power strips built into the bed made more than enough sense, especially as my wife is a computer programmer, and had been for many years until the fortumf 500 company that she worked for sold and she received a severance. So, while we DID walk out of there with basically all the bells and whistles, we ultimately were in control of the sale, what we needed and didn't (and in some cases just WANTED) Greg wasn't pushy AT ALL, and we felt very happy to be dealing with someone who knew what we wanted almost more than we did. We where told by Kyle, a general or area manager, that our existing bed and mattress would be removed upon delivery. When spending 13k you’d expect white glove service. When the delivery men showed they refused to take away the platform bed frame and claimed they didn’t do that. I called the store only to be met with “we dont do that” and that he should’ve explained that to us and apologized. But that was doing me any good with a huge platform in my house. So I was left with a huge broken bed frame left in my hallway with no way to get it out of my house.

First, that should’ve been explained so we could prepare to have it taken out, second, you dont spend that much money and not have a full service experience. The sales rep should have come up with a solution out of his own pocket and immediately rectified the situation since his commission on that amount is significant.

Not only will we never reccomend Mattress Firm, as a active member of the community I will and have already proactively gone out of my way telling people to spend dollars elsewhere. What a stressful and terrible experience it was to do...

I purchased a mattress and box springs last September from Mattress Firm .I noticed with in A couple of months the mattress began sagging in the middle. I reached out to the South County store where I purchased it from and was told I had to file a complaint on line. I filed a complaint and After reviewing my pictures they decided my mattress was defective and it was warranted. When I took my bed apart For all of the pictures that were requested fin order to warrant the mattress I noticed my box spring was also defective a board was broken on it. When I went to the South County store to get my replacement mattress they were going to charge me $250.00 to replace the same defective mattress ,$250.00 for the box springs and $99 for it to be delivered. I have not had the mattress a year yet. I am Very disappointed .
