Fantastic Sams Cut & Color — Local services in Memphis

Wonderful staff and Service! I came to Fantastic Sams after a bad hair accident. Sticky flypaper got stuck to my long hair and I struggled for 2 hours to wash the glue out. As a result, my hair was damaged, so I came to Fantastic Sams expecting it to be cut short, and thinking I would be judged for this weird accident and the damaged hair. I was pleasantly surprised, to the point where I will be returning to this place and keep recommending it to everyone! A nice young lady who works there, Kaley, helped me with fixing the damage and getting a hair cut that I ended up really liking. She was one of the nicest hairdressers I ever worked with. She was kind and understanding and very professional. I am very grateful for how much she helped me. Additionally, I was also expecting the treatment mask and hair cut to cost me an arm and a leg, but it was very affordable. I also bought the shampoo and conditioner she recommended and my hair has felt amazing since. I can't thank Kaley and Fantastic Sams enough and will be going there from now...

don't go here. they're nice but they don't do what you ask. i had mid length curly hair before that i really liked, i asked for barely a trim and a touch up on my layers in the back. and whoever did my hair cut it all off. i'm literally blind without my glasses so i couldn't tell until the end, or else i would have told her to stop. and even if i was fine with having my hair much shorter than what i asked for, it's just a bad haircut overall. i'm very upset. i really loved my hair, it was thick and curly. now it's super short and my bangs are thinned for some reason? it looks horrible, i just wanted a trim before school started. my classes start in 4 days and all my hair is gone! thanks!

every time i go here they mess up. i don't know why i keep coming back. they're nice people but they do what they think looks best, not what...

Not only that, my permanent dye faded within a few weeks. $70 gone down the drain. She only offered to refunded $20. It took years for my hair to be full and curly. I only requested it to be shaped 8 colored for the timeframe she stated it would last.

I should have known it would go wrong because she spent more time with her coworker who was married to some rapper and her 2 small children.

It will take years for it to get back right. Horrible stylist and I built up the nerves to trust someone on my head.

Never again will go to the location off Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
