I brought a larger picture up to the checkout counter and asked to keep it there while I continued shopping. When I returned to check out I was advised that the Price of the picture increased. I was then advised that they have problems with people switching tickets which implied that I switch the ticket. The so-called manager was extremely rude. She cannot even look me in the face did not offer any type of apology. I asked if they could honor the price because that’s what it was on the floor for and I was advised that she did not have the authority to do so. Both ladies were extremely rude and it felt very much like they were being racist. They claim they have to check all the clearance prices, but apparently it didn’t get checked before it went to the floor. Additionally, why are you checking on the price of something before I even attempt to check out? Very much, felt like they thought I switched the ticket on on the item because I was black. I will be contacting corporate offices about the situation. I’ve been at HomeGoods for years and I have never experienced anything like this. Read moreThe store was nice, BUT! The customer service at checkout was Terrible. There were only 2 registers open while the store was busy. There were 5 people standing behind the counter and only 1 young lady was waiting on a line of customers waiting to be checked out. I was ignored while waiting in line. There were 2 women and two men behind the counter having conversation ignoring the customers waiting in line. After 5 minutes possibly more, I walked with my cart right up to them all and left my cart right next to them, not purchasing my items I just left the store angry. I didn't hear anything from any of the person's behind the counter. I don't know if it was because I am a black woman, but it sure was unacceptable customer service. One of the men behind the counter was a manager named Chris. How sad when management doesn't care about the customers service, it explains the actions of the workers below them. Disappointed...

They also have a food nonparishable section with items that are from different countries. Large section of cooking oils as well. One negative, the clearence section could be better organized or in a better location. I purchased a toilet cleaner for $9.99, great smelling candles for $8, candle stick holders for 12.99 larger and 9.99 smaller, a large name brand cooking pan for $24.99 , two pretty but fake orchids for 10.99, soap dispensers for 7.99.
