Heat'n Sweep — Local services in Meridian Charter Township

We purchased a Gas Fireplace from Heat and Sweep, for our brand new house that we were building. We specifically requested one that could be used even if there was a electrical power outage. We used the fire place 2 times, and when we had a power failure, and went to turn the fireplace on it didn't work. So we called Heat'n' Sweep. When the technician came out, he told us that the" ignition switch was blown out". Needless to say I was extremely disappointed that we were sold a product that didn't even last 1 year. It didn't do the very thing we asked and paid for. I felt that they sold us a piece of junk. I have had fireplaces in my previous homes and have never had any issues even after 10 years. And they never cost me $4000.00 that Heat and Sweep charged us. The worst part is, they refused to acknowledge that this happened while it was under warranty. The woman I had to deal with on the phone, kept insisting we had the fireplace for over 2 years. How could that be if we were in the home for only 1.5. And the problem occurred within the first year of being in the home. Of course, we had no choice but to get it fixed, and you guessed it, we received a bill for $300.00. If this is what Heat and Sweep is all about, you can bet, when I finish my basement I won't be buying my next fireplace from Heat and Sweep. Kathy Lott is an Angel on Earth! I spent nearly a year discussing the best possible Swim spa fit for my very compromised Spinal disabilities and Fibromyalgia challenges. She has been very friendly and spent time researching my questions (which were many) and trying to get me the best swim spa for my needs. With the Covid Pandemic I was not able to try a swim spa which created some concern when spending the money to invest in a spa. Not only does one have the swim spa cost but the other costs as well such as: electrical set up, Cement Foundation, Crane.... So, this is a risky investment not having the proof that the spa we ordered truly will work for my spinal and health needs. We have faith it will all be all right in the end. What truly sold us to buy an Arctic Ocean from Heat'nsweep is knowing that we can count on their personal service and good customer care should we encounter any trouble with the spa. This is crucial when purchasing anything such as a swim spa! Even tho there is a rather long wait for the spa due to pandemic, I am looking forward to slipping into the warm water and trying to sooth my pain and hopefully will be able to start to move again rather then lie on the floor all day with ice and heat packs. We have owned an arctic spa for three years and it has truly improved our lives and transformed our home into a resort. We are able to exercise in the water through all the seasons, including and especially winter. There is nothing better than being in the hot water with snow falling around you.

The one time we had an issue with the spa, Heat 'n Sweep came and serviced the spa numerous times until they resolved the problem and they took full responsibility for the problem. Sherri was zealous in solving the problem and she was also very kind throughout the process. We were never made to feel like we were a bother in any way, even though it must have been frustrating for them. Kathy remained as interested in our satisfaction as the day we purchased the spa. Such service and loyalty to the customer is rare and so appreciated.

We are also very pleased with the attractive and comfy patio furniture we purchased and it lasts beautifully even out in the elements all year.
