Dillard's — Local services in Merritt Island

Got to say I was very impressed and happy stopping by today. Drove from Melbourne to another store for an item that is sold out at the Melbourne mall only to be told by the attendant at that store they don't carry this item after showing him it is listed as being there on there website. We went to a local restaurant for dinner while waiting for my meal I got onto Dillard's website where I was able to 'chat' and the attendant told me they had one of these items left. I asked if they priced match and got the response ' Dillard's doesn't price match' I was just happy they had the product. After finishing dinner I went to the store and sure enough they had the item which I got the last one and asked if they happened to gift wrap? Was told yes they do and the sales clerk pointed the way. The lady at the wrapping station said she was alone and had 5 other packages to wrap but would do her best and to give her 30min. I walked around the mall for a few and returned to find the best wrapped little gift around. My hat goes off the fabulous people working at this location. On my way out my wife who was waiting and the gift is for was being entertained by Chris at the perfume station.. really appreciate the help.. you guys all rock! The other stores need to take lessons from you. Oh! And they do...

This review is for Dillard's in the Merritt Island Mall. I went to Dillard's hoping to escape the horrible customer service I'd experienced at the Macy's beauty counter in the Merritt Island Mall. At first, everything was great. I met a lovely sale associate and she helped me with my purchase and free gift. She was very friendly and I immediately assumed she was competent. I came in specifically for a free gift with purchase. In order to get a free gift, I had to purchase my products in advance. I was told I could pick them up after the free gift came out and the associate said she would give me a call. Well the associate never called. Eventually, I went back to Dillard's only to find out that my order had been ready for some time. I was greeted by the same associate who was suppose to call me and received no apology for the incident. It's a good thing that I stayed on top of my order. I have been shopping at this Dillard's location ever since it came to Merritt Square Mall. I have seen employees come & go. But, several ladies in the ladies department are constants. Being a Petite size, I only wish they had a larger petite section. The popular size of 8p is typically gone right away so, that's sends me to the Melbourne Dillard's. They have a more expansive petite section. This Dillard's doesn't have petite coats and jackets either. The oversized womens section is more expansive than the petite section. Why is that? Also, why is the "big ladies" section always next to the petite section. I never understood the layout concept as this is a common practice is most stores. I think this store needs to be...
