This use to be one of my favorite restaurant but after tonight's experience. I will not go back! My friends and I waited over an hour to get our food while people that came after us got served and we had no idea where I waitress was. We had stopped a waiter to see if we could get some service he asked who got our waters? We were like we don't know she has disappeared. Finally I went to get a manger and I approached a gentleman that had on dress casual attire and I asked him was he a manger or can he get the manager for me (which I'm very sure he was the manager/owner but didnt want to correct/handle the situation). He said he could get one but he asked me what was the issue I told him and he asked where was I sitting so I told him. Literally in less than 5 minutes the food arrives. Well more disappointment....the seafood boil bags were very skimpy (mind you my family comes here) and for the price that was unexcepted. So I see the guy again and ask for the manager. So he sends over Sara who claims she's the "manager" but she has the workers uniform on and was working the bar as a bartender since we arrived. She comes over and she's already defensive like we did something to her. I explained what the issue was and she asked what can we do to make this better? My friend said take half off the price Sara said oh no "they" will never do that (that confirmed she definitely was not the manager or floor manager). She then starts explaining the contents in the bag. Which we knew what was in the bag, we ordered it! The problem was how much or how less was in the bag. I start explaining to get her to understand what the whole issue was and she came up with so many irrelevant excuses instead of correcting the issues. She said she could take 5% off but that was not enough when we had been waiting over an hour and with no waitress. She even told me I didn't let her speak which I did because because how else was she able to tell us about "them", the contents in the bag and explain the menu ( which again has nothing to do with the amount of food in the bag and the time it took to get it)! She then became very condescending and at that point I told my FRIENDS that I was leaving and going to get me some fries because she's not listening and making me look like I did something to her. My friends didn't want me to leave because we hadn't seen each other in a few months and we were finally getting together (and they had driven far to come here and get together) so I stayed but I didn't eat. Sara even said I told her that I was leaving I said no I was directly talking to my friends because at this point we were not getting anywhere and nothing was getting resolved. She leaves and the waitress finally shows up and my friends asked for the check (they ate because they were so hungry but was very disappointed). When she tried to hand me my check I told her no thank you I'm not eating. So Sara comes back over a few minutes later like she's ready for an altercation, argument or something and was like so you're not eating this as she's grabbing the bag. For both of our best interest I didn't reply or look at her because clearly the waitress had already told her I wasn't eating and didn't take my check). She asked several times what she could do to make the situation better and every time any of us told her she said she couldn't do that. So we were like why keep asking if you choose not to do what is being requested. As we were leaving the guy I had asked for a manger watched us leave and told another older guy that he was standing by (who was probably the manager or owner) there they go right there. I didn't appreciate that because again it made it look like we did something wrong. My friends and I were very upset and disappointed and felt dismissed about the whole situation and the attitude(s) that were presented. We were treated like we did something wrong and as if we didn't have the right to say something and have the issue corrected. All I wanted was good food and a good time...instead I got dismissed and...
Read moreJames Bautista that left that review a month ago is not lying at all! I went here for the first and last time for my goddaughter birthday dinner and had the worst experience in my life!!! I can't even make this up.
I ordered a weekend special garlic butter non spicy no seasoning. Waiter repeated and submitted the order. When they brought the orders out the servers gave my order to my sister and I had her order, first mess up.
I opened my bag and I tasted the shrimp first. By the second shrimp I noticed that my mouth started to tingle. I thought maybe it was the hush puppies I ordered but after the fourth attempt realized it was the seafood.
Please keep this in mind I cannot eat spicy foods that's why I don't order it and I made sure the waiter knew that.
We called the waiter back and advised the food was spicy and she asked me what did I want her to do. I advised her I wanted her to make the correction because that's not what I ordered. She rolls her eyes and takes the order from the table. Mess up number two very much so was her attitude.
So after a few minutes my order comes back and the manager brings the order back in a hot bag and advised this order had absolutely no seasoning at all and was not spicy. I had noodles that my sister ordered and used that just to taste the sauce at the bottom of the bag. My mouth was on fire instantly!!! My brother called the manager back because we noticed it was the exact same bag! When I tell y'all I started getting sick instantly no joke.
The manager basically lied and stated that half the bag of food was missing and she changed the seasoning and she couldn't cook a new order. There was only four shrimp missing from the bag before they took the bag so if anything else was missing they removed it when they took it back to make the correction. I advised her 4 shrimp was missing on my behalf and I would pay for the drink and the hush puppies and the shrimp but I didn't want to pay for the items I couldn't eat. She stated I had to pay for the full bag even though it was their mess up and if I refused to pay she would have to call me police. After dealing with her going back and forth with the table I told her to bring my ticket repeatedly before she finally agreed to do so. "I" called 911 for the police and ambulance to come for feeling sick because I drove myself.
I called my husband and he came. The EMT check me out to be sure I was okay because I have a stomach disease that causes severe side effects. The police came and she lied and told them we were refusing to pay. When the police came to the table we explained what was going on. They stated this happens all the time at this same location and they suggest we contact corporate. We advised we asked for the number and the manager stated she's the GM and they have no corporate. They advised the police the same thing and the business is family owned.
Just bit of advice Juicy Seafood and Bar, if we didn't intend to pay we wouldn't have, security guard, police or not. Do better by servicing your honest loyal customers because my family referred and brought me there for the first time. I honestly understand why your waiter and serving staff is faulty, they're following by example.
If I could give this business a big fat 0, I definitely would, especially since I'm still not feeling well due to their mistake....
Read moreToday was our Uncle’s birthday and we decided to make a reservation at 5pm. We made it there and were sat down at our table shortly afterwards. We were literally the first group to be sat in our section. Our waitress came and got our order for drinks and disappeared. 10 minutes later she brought our drinks and disappeared again. 5 minutes after that, another large group showed up and was sat at the table next to us and was promptly serviced by another waitress. Not even 5 minutes later they received their drinks. Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for our order for food to be taken. 5 minutes after that she came back after my wife had got her attention and she told us that she will be right back, because she has to service two other parties, including one outside. While we were waiting for drinks, we noticed that she was taking orders from another table, that was seated 30 minutes after us! She got their drinks, took their orders and went to another table afterwards and still having came back to our table with our refills or to take our food orders. Meanwhile the table next to us got their drinks and food as well as the large group that was seated after they were. 20 minutes after we asked for refills, she shows back up with our refills and finally takes our food orders. It’s been 45 minutes that we’ve been sitting at that point. We were still waiting for our food and she comes back and gives us an update on our order 15 minutes later and quickly disappears to service the table that she’s frequented 6 times since we been there by that time it was another couple sitting there. My daughter sitting at the other end of the table notices that our waitress brings food to an empty table beside the group next to us. She thinks that the food belongs to them. But notices 5 minutes later that the food is still sitting there. By then a few people walks past the food sitting on the table. She shows back up and starts taking the food off of the empty table that’s been sitting there for 10 whole minutes and tries to give it to us. By that time the food wasn’t fresh off the stove hot. She tries to tell us that it’s still good but plenty of people walked by our food sitting on that table and even one gentleman sitting at the table behind us next to our food was coughing without covering his mouth. We went to the manager who was unprofessionally dressed with her whole belly showing and completely unprofessional, told us that the food was still good. No, it wasn’t good but since all of our food didn’t arrive yet at that point going on an hour and a half later. We asked that they either take half off of our bill, or take the 18% gratuity off. She told us no on the gratuity, but offered 10% off. No why would we still give 18% gratuity on poor service. By that time the rest of our food finally shows up a little more than a hour and a half later. We refused and paid for our drinks and left. We frequented Juicy’s plenty of times before and we love this restaurant. But that waitress and unprofessional manager...
