I booked two rooms for tonight. One for my family, and one for another family due to a baseball tournament in town. After we checked in, my husband and I left, and our son stayed with the other family we booked with. We returned ann hour later (around 7pm) to the receptionist yelling at our kids in the hallway. Yelling at three 13 year old boys calling them “liars” because when she asked one of the boys his last name it didn’t pull up his reservation - because as stated before, both rooms were booked under my name. Yelling at them because they were loud in the pool (which I’m sure they were) and threatening to kick them out because she couldn’t find their reservation even after they gave her our room numbers. She never once tried to reach out to the adult - who was just down the hallway with their door propped open. When my husband and I approached we asked if there was a problem and she said “I have a big problem when a child speaks to me like they are an adult” & stormed off. I questioned the boys first, asked what happened.. which they admitted to being loud but said they told her the truth to every question she asked them. I approached her at the desk with the two parents that were at the hotel the entire time thinking we needed to clear up a reservation issue because she told the boys “she was kicking them out”. I couldn’t even finish my sentence of telling her my name and room number before she started yelling at us, saying we left our kids unattended in the pool room. The husband in the other family tried to explain to her that they had been in the pool less than an hour, and he checked on them 3 times (they are almost 14 years old & experienced swimmers - we both have pools at home). We even asked her to review the cameras for her peace of mind to show her he did not leave them unattended. She continued to yell, even asked us “what kind of parents are you?” I asked her numerous times to call the manager and she kept telling me she was the manager. She supposedly called Marriott to try to have us kicked out because our boys were in the pool unattended - when the sign in the pool room says “all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult”, and as stated before, they are almost 14. She told whomever she was on the phone with that “all 4 parents left the hotel, and left our children unattended” - which as stated before, is false. After she hung up her cell phone, she blatantly admitted to lying all because “there’s nothing you can do about it”. She refused to refund our rooms, said she “would pocket the cash”. Refused to give her name, or the number she called when she called Marriott, and refused to allow us to speak to them while they were talking. I will be calling Marriott first thing Monday morning, because I don’t believe she actually called anyone - the call was made on her cell phone, not the hotel phone so that was a red flag. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a receptionist, and we travel atleast two weekends a month. My sole intention was to clear up what I thought was a misunderstanding. We never raised our voices to her, we stayed calm, respectful, appropriate, and received the complete opposite in return. A crowd gathered because of how loud she was yelling at us, so we finally started recording her temper tantrum. To say I am FLABBERGASTED is an understatement. I am in no way saying our boys weren’t in the wrong, but how she handled it was inappropriate and completely unprofessional.

My recent stay at the Fairfield Inn in Mesquite, TX was unfortunately disappointing. **** Attention owner or Marriott, please address the poor maintenance of this facility **** Upon running the water in the sink, a strong sewer smell filled the bathroom – something you definitely don't want to breathe in while washing your face or brushing your teeth. The entire room had a pervasive odor of must, dirt, and tobacco, which would be a serious concern for anyone with sensitivities or allergies. The bathroom itself had significant issues, including visible mold, general dirt buildup, and water-damaged wallpaper. The in-room air conditioning unit was loud and emitted a dirty odor when running. To add to the frustration, our room key deactivated multiple times during our stay, requiring trips back to the front desk. Beyond our room, the hotel's common area there was a leak in the lobby ceiling, with a bucket placed to catch the dripping water. The overall facility, particularly the exterior, could really use a good cleaning, including pressure washing and window cleaning. While the front desk staff were pleasant during both check-in and check-out, and the staff in general were friendly, it was notable that they didn't ask "how was your stay." I suspect they may already know the issues and realize there's not much they can do at that point, as these seem to be Marriott maintenance issues that need to be addressed at a higher level. The general area around the hotel appears older and somewhat run-down, and there's a lot of highway construction nearby, leading to noticeable road noise in the room. Given all these issues, we ended up moving to a different hotel. I do NOT recommend this hotel, especially for those seeking a clean and fresh environment.

Please don’t stay here. Find another hotel. There’s better options in the area. Check in was fine. Shares a parking lot with a defunct restaurant and next door to mini golf place that may just be closed for the season. Room is okay: could be worse but nothing to write home about. Mattress seems past useful life but sheets and room overall looked clean. Bath fan doesn’t work, there’s mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and a poorly repaired leak. Close to an interstate so not the quietest but not terrible. Here was my issue: toilet sounded odd when I got in the room, but flushed okay. In the morning, I peed and flushed again, and it overflowed. Called the front desk, who told me there was no maintenance until 8am (this was 5am). Claimed they had no other rooms (parking lot was maybe 25% full so I really doubt this), couldn’t even just give me a plunger, only offer was the towels to clean up the now soaked floor myself. When I went down to get them, no one’s at the front desk. Waiting 10 minutes or so for him to show up (not great from a security standpoint either as the automatic door keeps opening as I’m standing there so anyone can walk in here). When I then ask if there’s a bathroom in the lobby, the clerk patronizingly asks if I have to go to the bathroom, and points me to it. I try the door and it’s locked. Turns out there’s a fun gas station style key you have to use that he failed to mention. So what I’m left with is if I need to use the restroom at my hotel, my option is to ask the front desk each time. Not a great experience and I won’t be back.

I travel a lot - and stay in many hotels. I have to say that i used to stay across the street and I and my colleagues will be staying at your hotel from now on. I loved that when i arrived Sunday night i got to meet your security guard. Who normally would be an unnoticed person securing the building and Cars in the shadows - but i happened to see him when i drove in and parked next to him because, he would be watching my truck better this way. ;) since I have expansive work equipment in it. Super friendly and professional person - and this is a huge plus that you have a security guard on the weekend and Weekdays at night. The building is great it was very clean and organized - the staff was extremely friendly and professional. It was great being welcomed every morning and night. Your internet connection is very big for us because of the long stays and being able to communicate with family at night over skype or Face-time. I had a much better connection than on the other hotel across the street. I think your hotel would benefit of better upload speed but it was a descent/good connection for being a hotel. I mention the upload speed because my wife was having some lag on her end receiving my image due to the upload speed. No big deal. I was very pleased on this stay.

On a side comment I would ask your cleaning personal who is doing a great job and it is really showing in the building. It seemed to me the only place they have an opportunity to vacuum is the elevator. ;)

Great Job guys – Me and my colleagues will be coming to your hotel from now on! That must be said.

Every morning i was greeted by a person who made the morning breakfast and she was super nice (not pushy any way) but made sure i had a breakfast. And pointed things out to have.

Also your security guard outside who i meet on Sunday night - informed me that there was a storm coming in - and made sure i was aware (witch i was not) and suggested to secure anything in the back of my truck inside due to possibility of high winds. Now he didn’t have to say anything but he was absolutely right and very professional – and I am glad I did as he suggested because it was very windy that night and morning due to the storm that rolled in. I am sure something would had been flying other wise. Again Super professional – in uniform, and doing his part when on duty. I am happy you have security guards in general but he did an outstanding...

I stayed at this hotel because it was in close proximity to an out of state cheer competition my daughter was competing in. Upon our late night arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly staff and noticed it was in an area close to the freeway, dining and shopping. This was a plus. When we arrived in the room it was clean, and had a microwave and mini fridge. As I was very tired from the long road trip, I settled in to one of the two queen beds in the room. My daughter claimed the other one. When I turned to my side I immediately felt uncomfortable.. something was jabbing me in the hip. I tried to adjust myself to relieve the pressure, but it remained. I felt the mattress, and realized it was a spring. I looked over to my left, and my husband was fast asleep next to me (he can sleep through anything) and my wild sleeping daughter was tossing and turning in the other bed. If I was going to sleep at all, I had no choice but to try to get some sleep where I was. Now, this isn't a "Princess and the Pea" type situation. I am normally able to sleep well in hotels, but this was a very bad nights sleep. When the morning finally arrived after what felt like a million hours in this bed, I went to shower. The shower was great. There was great water pressure and great temperature. I have no complaints about it. I did however hear the man in the room next to me while I was in the bathroom. He must have had an awesome time the night before, because he was throwing up quite loudly. I could hear every gag, intake of air, cough and release.. Yes, the walls are very thin at this hotel. I'd noticed a lot of dragging noises and heavy footsteps coming from the room above us the night before, but I was just too tired to care. I do know that its common to hear some noise in a hotel, but I have never heard anyone through a bathroom wall before. I must also admit that now I am curious about the dragging and footsteps.. Anyway... you may need to bring some extra pillows and earplugs to have a comfortable stay, but the hotel is convenient and the...
