Working with Stanley of Stanley Jewelers was a fantastic experience. Stanley helped me surprise my Mrs. with a new diamond ring for Christmas. He and I had several phone calls to map things out, and I visited his office twice. The first office visit was to discuss diamonds and cost. I received the Stanley Ungar "spiel" during this visit, which I highly recommend. Stanley gave me a brief and informative history of diamonds and then covered how the cut, clarity, etc., affect the overall cost. The second office visit was to pick up the masterpiece that Stanley created for me. The price was significantly less than Jared's or Ramsey's, both of which I have purchased jewelry from previously, and the diamond I got from Stanley was far superior to the diamonds I bought from the big-name jewelers in Nola. I was referred to Stanley by a family friend of mine who is also a reputable jeweler in New Orleans (Balli). I implored him to find stones and help me with a design for an engagement ring with a tight turnaround of 2 months. Once I settled on a diamond size (which I was able to see in person), we then sized up 2 rubies to flank the diamond in a 3-stone setting. Stanley was excited about his work, confident in what he could offer, and delivered a product that exceeded expectations. Delivery was on time to an out of state address. Everything went exactly as he promised... on time, under budget, and beyond expectation. If you are thinking of gifting a fine piece of jewelry to someone special, it is worth at least talking with Stanley.
