My husband and I have been coming here for almost a year and we will never be back. All the employees so far have been fantastic but that all changed when I got to my cashier tonight. I'm out of state medical, when I travel this far for my medication, I want to adhere to all laws, but I want the maximum legally allowed. Over and over we have to pick something else because it weighs an insignificant amount more than the limit. When I switched product to be compliant, the short cashier with her nose pierced got snotty and said it would be over as well. I told her I don't see how, I double checked all the weights during and after shopping. Next product is over by 0.005g. I asked why the company wouldn't put the correct weights on their products. She leaves and returns with the head of security who condescendingly mansplained to me that it's not their fault they can't sell over, when I never once asked for that. He then threatened to not serve me for being "threatening or rude to the cashier". I never got anywhere close to either and I'm extremely offended of being accused of being abusive when I have medical because I have PTSD from abuse in the first place! The cashier was rude with me, acting like I'm trying to make trouble when I just want to make an accurate purchase and leave. Didn't once give a customer service attitude, like taking additional time to help find a 1g preroll that actually wasn't over. The same cashier messed up my husband's points last time too, incompetent. YOUR HEAD OF SECURITY IS DEMEANING THREATENING AND RUDE. I don't know why it was thought appropriate to come straight at me with threats when I pointed out a problem with your listings, but you will never come at me again with this gaslighting treating me as hostile when I wasn't but the cashier was. No thanks on spending thousands a month for this disfunction. I don't know if this is the original cashier 49196, the gentleman that took care of me after all the threats was nice, he grabbed a .75 for me and all was good, don't know why the first cashier had such a hard time, but her and the security manager shouldn't be in a public facing job. We said goodbye to all the nice employees and security on the way out. Now I'm battling an anxiety attack the whole way home. Stop being snotty to customers over information that isn't even available to us, and fix your listings to have accurate weights! Never coming here again, absolutely avoid this place if you have ptsd or trauma. Fairly certain I was targeted for wearing a mask too.
I tried to resolve things with Keith, he was polite and professional, but just flagging my account where that cashier won't be serving me is not enough. I have no trust that any other employee would not be talked into bullying me just like the security manager. Apologies for ending the call abruptly, I was having another anxiety attack, I hope to have a better time...
Read moreBeen a loyal customer for over 2 years now and I love metropolis’ location and employees. I just wish they would stock 1gram disposables more often or just in general. I’ve seen a 1gram disposable there one time and fell in love with it. Now I almost prefer to drive an additional 40 minutes to Anna just to get them. Which is very unfortunate for myself. I don’t prefer carts or vape rigs. Please consider stocking 1 gram pens more often please!! .3 and the semi rare .5 pens just don’t cut it when it comes to longevity.
Edit: Went back today and HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!! Imagine being a loyalty rewards program member for almost 2 years and then driving almost 2 hours, as I have over 20 times, and using the same card every time and getting declined because of thrives own new anti fraud system. Every time I make the trip I have to make tedious arrangements to be able to go, so I did just that this morning. Drove up to metropolis then place my order and when it came time to pay, I was declined. Because of a new system that requires a security code and Apple Card’s do not have any physical numbers on them only on your apple wallet app (not sure why y’all would do this since we already have to show our ID when we’re checking out AND the name on the ID matches the name on the card) but anyways. Thinking it was a problem on my end, I called apple (my credit card company) and asked if there was something wrong on my end and they ensured me 2 separate times that it was definitely on Thrives (quickcard) end and then being told that there is absolutely nothing that thrive can do to ensure a pleasant experience for me. I’ve been loyal to y’all for 2 years, choosing to make the drive to you and paying a premium instead of just shopping cheaper locally. Disappointed is an understatement. I was also told that since thrive has rolled out this new anti fraud system that countless other American Express/Mastercard/Apple cards have been declined. For an establishment like yourselves I honestly expected better. Now I’m out almost 300 miles of gas from making the trip with zero product to speak for. Looking forward to...
Read moreVery amazing customer service!!! Every single person genuinely cares to make sure you are valued as a customer. I will say, you MUST wear a mask to enter. You do have to have your actual license to enter (a friend of mine didn't have his license because he'd just gotten his "NEW" KY license and they only provide you with a piece of paper that is your license until the actual license comes in the mail). Check in was a breeze after the long line. Of course there's going to be a line! I never have been to something like this and I was so lost. The security officer even answered my questions before entering the store. The check in guy answered all of my questions before I got into the store. They were both professional while being personally genuine. You can either get in the store and order your products or you can order online and then pick it up. I will say that I thought ordering online would be quicker as you get to pick your time to come pick up your order. I did get text updates as well as email updates saying that my order was ready but when I got to the shop, it was the same as if I had ordered there and wait. So I suggest just placing your order there at the store and waiting. I didn't know what to expect because there was no description really of what I was purchasing. But was pleasantly surprised with what I received. The only thing I'd say for those who don't know what they're doing, talk to one of the people inside. They are very informative and helpful!! And will be able to get you exactly what you need. ...
