Regal South Beach — Local services in Miami Beach

As automatic response suggest to direct unsatisfied experience to regal support,I can say it doesnt work.no replies or confirmations that message was received.. so here I'm copying my Huge Dissappointment about service. This theater always have been my favorite one.and I received I free ticket to see any movie!so we,me n wife,went to that show.but we were really frustrated and upset by service and given reasons from Luvi Rivas!!we ordered tea with other items,but were not asked if we want it cold or hot by the boy at the cashier,he looks like a new member of the team. Plus we didn't even thought about that option.when we received a hot tea,we kindly asked him to give us a small cup from soft drink with ice,so get our tea cold. He said he can't do it unless charge us for a small drink..that was wow!! I asked him why is that?coz it turns in double price..then he dropped to 1$ as a charge for a cup..I still didn't accept it. When it comes to misunderstanding in customer service the service side needs to take care of it. I always do that as supervisor of cafebar in the hotel. So with a continuous smile i called a mg..And here we got lectured as children. Luvi Rivas started her conversation from phrase: "ok,two things..(and showed two thingers) first was that cup is too thin to keep hot water inside. Here I said again-it won't be hot when u pour tea on top of ice..(also it's my choice if I'm in situation to lose my tea or spill. You warned me,you protected. But it would not happen anyway) Second was..the most shocking point I've ever heard from service person..she said she needs to charge us the dollar for a cup because it's a part of inventory!!!that is Omg!!! As mg you don't know how to deal with inventory??but this is dumb question coz we were talking about 1$ cup!!!! (Sometimes things fall out of hands or someone pushed someone (as crew situations) or people change minds of having certain flavor or changing size of a drink..thats a waste already! I would be surprised if managers charging employees and customers for each cup being wasted) That s crazy.so I brought a point of misunderstanding again where they need to take care of us..but she repeated her 2 THINGS..so we returned tea.she accepted it and lost in that case 3.79 I think.how is that goes together with inventory?!) Want to say more but that is actual problem needs to be...

Regal Cinemas South Beach 18 opened June 16, 1999 and as someone who loved SoBe it was an exciting new chapter in Miami Beach history. Finally a place to see movies without having to get off the island.

But this week on December 18 2023, almost 24 and half years later the gem that was has become a movie goers stale nightmare. Every modern thing we have come to expect in a movie experience is missing from this once state-of-the-art location. It is now a rundown less than idea movie experience. From theater room seats that are uncomfortable, leather cracked, and under seat springs that feel as if they have been in place for 24 years. The ceiling of the lobby had tiles that looked like they were about to fall off. It was a hot mess in there. The escalator at the entrance was broken. There were all sorts of caution tape on all three floors. Luckily for our friend the elevator was working inside Regal.

And the terrible experience started with the parking garage and its elevator that never seems to be working. So, our friend with mobility challenges had to be driven back out of the parking and be dropped off on the street side downstairs. I’m sure this is not Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant and the City of Miami Beach as well as Lincoln Road Business Improvement District should really be looking at this as just one part of the reason Lincoln Road continues to loss patrons especially on that west side.

Pre-movie we went to “the bar” to grab a drink to take in and watch our movie like in most theaters these days. But were told that we could “not go beyond that wall” in the lobby. While most cinema complex are adding in theater service to their experience Regal is not even able to provide adequate self-service. There are many movie-plex these days where you order your drink and popcorn then take it with you to your seat.

After this experience all 7 of us have decided we will not be visiting Regal SoBe until there is actual news they have cleaned up their act. If this is what we as locals are experiencing what must the tourist visiting...
