I’m highly upset with the overall experience from this location , if it wasn’t for the fact my insurance company is not longer in network with cvs i would never do business here.i had prescriptions that i asked practically begged that they request it from cvs where my doctors office initially sent my prescriptions too i am a diabetic have high blood pressure as well as other health issues and this all requested on Thursday 1/18 /24 when i made my first call to them the man on the phone same unhelpful when i was advised the process was they can request it from cvs, i waited a day then on Saturday after calling this store Multiple times getting the run around over and over been hung up and i reached out to cvs who advised me that they sent the prescription over and even told me they spoke to a Victor and they should have the prescriptions ,my daughter went to the store to try to see if this was done and the young man at the drive thru ,told her he did not see any prescriptions and then when she told him that cvs stated they spoke to a Victor at the store after my hundreds of call he then proceeded to tell me that the system was down for a whole day so probably did not get it, this is completely unacceptable the lack of care for someone’s health is disturbing , the fact these are medications for someone to sustain life is completely bothersome, i would never ever recommend this store to anyone i even called the corporate office to file a complaint on 1/20/24 and today 1/22 i finally reached out to my primary’ care doctors office to have all of my medications resent and I’m praying and hope this does not cause any issues when i was told this should be an easy process allow 24 hrs and it’s exceeded 24 hrs long time ago, this store and the staff needs to be investigated for shady practices if I’m going through this i can imagine how many other patients go through the same i should’ve known by the ratings the store have i should’ve chosen another location but because is considered to be the closest to home but...
Read morePharmacy customer service is nearly non-existent. If you enjoy being ignored or receiving dirty looks from pharmacy staff then this is your kind of place. I've come to this pharmacy for over 20 years and delt with fantastic pharmacists like Mr Norman and Ahmed to name a few. Since the arrival of a new manager Rogel approximately 12 to 16 months ago, service has fallen beyond flat. Expect long lines of cars at the drive-thru and a line of frustrated customers inside as well. And if you try to do business via phone be mindful that they have caller-id and you can bet to hear "pharmacy please hold" more times than is reasonable. I can even get into specifics about my order status on the app and the reality in the store, or times when I've been told that my med would be ready in 15-20 minutes and at 45 minutes when asked for an update that oops they were out of stock and I could pick up my med next Tuesday. I've called the district manager and complained only to be confronted by the new pharmacy manager Rogel asking "did you call cooperate?" to which I replied "yes I did and I will call them again". I don't see many of the people that used to work there anymore. It would appear that it's hard to retain employees when the environment is so toxic. And yes I've called the district manager and it would appear Walgreens doesn't mind keeping customers frustrated as long as the cash keeps flowing. I'm the type that believes fighting the battle from inside the fence, but I have reached a point where my health is more important than continuing to expect any improvement in my neighborhood Walgreens pharmacy. I plan to take my business where I will be appreciated and all you Miami Shores folks that continue to experience this toxicity, I highly recommend to take your business elsewhere also. You know what I am...
Read moreTonight I waited three hours for COVID medication for my husband. The pharmacist saw me and had spoken to the doctor and told me to sit down and wait just a moment that they would prepare it. I waited and waited and when someone finally asked me rudely what I'm waiting for and I told them. The pharmacist did not look at me or address me but told the person I did that a long time ago...so they rifled through a bunch of prescriptions and found mine....checked me out - no apology no nothing just acted rude and sent me on my way. These people at this pharmacy do not belong in healthcare. They are the worse kind of people to have dealing with the sick and vulnerable. They should not even be in any service related field. I would like to put negative stars but apparently you have to put at least one star. The craziest part of all is the attitude. I waited patiently said nothing assuming i was dealing with professionals. Once they realized their error instead of apologizing and being pleasant they were rude, arrogant and dismissive. It is a crime that people like this are allowed to work in healthcare. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that if a patient is at home waiting for COVID medication that it is something important. They were just so blatantly obvious about the fact that they could care...
