Miami Airport — Local services in Miami Springs

Its a new station and you can definitely see where the money went,its beautiful and well connected. The Metro-Rail, Tri-Rail, a pickup place for Uber /taxis and the metro bus all meet at this station.

On the lower level is Tri-rail. There are 2 sets of escalators/elevators and stairs to bring you up. To the 2nd level which is where the metro rail is or you can go to the bus station below on the other side...there is an express bus to South Beach from here meanwhile the Metro-Rail goes directly into downtown. Also all the car rentals are there as well.

In all areas of this station they have staff to help you with things such as directions and purchasing a ticket.

THE AIRPORT To get there is simple, you just take a free 3-5 minute shuttle train ride (also called the MIA mover and is highlighted in pink )right into the middle of the airport (it's only one stop away).

Once you arrive it's American Airlines to the right and all other airlines like Avianca to the left(although if your flying British and Qatar you should take the right as well it's closer.)

You can stay on your present level to use the moving walkways for bags but must come down one level eventually to get to the check-in desk so pay attention to your concourses letter.

Miami Airport Station is an extremely innovative metrorail to tram or bus transfer station. The design of the station is unmatached compared to the many train stations and subways from New York and other states. This station offers clean restrooms, movile phone charging areas and even bike air pumps for bicyclists. The entry way for the buses are simple with a likable ease of access entry away from high trafficked roads, the busses are usually always on time at this station!! I'm loving the versatility between the various modes of transport Miami Dade Transit system has to offer. Thanks MDT !! I'm born and raised in the county of Dade, what an amazing upgrade to the Transit system for the county...

On 04/11/2025 a small plane crashed right onto the rail road in Boca Raton, killing 3 people. The Tri-rail team did an amazing job by continuing to provide premium service to all its passengers throughout the day! Since the trains couldn’t get through the crash site, they made a clever move by offering nice shuttle buses that took us from Deerfield Beach station (coming from the south) to the Boca Raton station (going north) and vise versa so we could get to our destination. Thanks again for all you guys do because it’s greatly appreciated by the community. That makes FL look very pleasant in the eyes of thousands of travelers exploring our beautiful...
