Artists, forget ordering everything off of Amazon. With this store you only have to order some products.
This is artist heaven. Anything artistic, craft, or office supply can be bought here with variety. Sections separated for various interests.
âArtistsâ
â Pens | Mechanical pencils The thinnest mechanical pencils and pens known to man are available here. Move over Micron, Le Pen is cheaper and has larger size variety. Including but not limited to: 0.3, 0.1, 0.005, 0.003. This is my area of expertise.
â Mechanical erasers Omh I didn't know these existed until I saw them in person. It took a few days of observation to truly understand what they were for. I'm so excited, I can't wait to try these once I have funds.
â Traditional pencils | Charcoal Various shading pencils, stereotypical artist materials. Not my cup of tea but surely abundant for those who do use these. I don't like them in general, lead gets on my hands and you have to manually sharpen them.
â Clay There's so much variety of clay. Numerous Sculpey types and colors for modeling clay. I'm excited to try the Sculpey brand out to cast in silicone. Clay shaping tools are not impressive. Go to another store.
â Watercolor Basic sets, not sure how expensive they're supposed to be. Might want to look for these elsewhere.
â Markers Unfortunately mostly Sharpie and Crayola. Specific art markers you'll have to get somewhere else.
âCanvas Basically anything you need, from acrylic to watercolor. Various sizes. There's cute little artist "trading cards" for sharing art pieces smaller than the size of a postcard. Be sure to know what medium you're using them for so you pick the right packet.
â ect Can't remember if I saw a miniature hot glue gun. Will have to visit to confirm.
âOfficeâ Hole punches, lanyard pieces, printing paper, envelopes, sticky notes, rulers, pencils, pens, etc
âPaperâ
â Sketch Whole section of sketchbooks available on multiple large shelves.
â Grid Different packets of grid paper. Not much variety you can find here in general.
â Bujo They have two variations of bullet grid paper books right now, but I'm interested in spiral or whole punched, not bound. (You could probably buy it like this and hole punch out yourself honestly)
âCraftsâ Stones, beads, jewelry pieces and threads.
â Sewing | Knitting | Quilting Won't find materials here....
Read moreWe try to shop locally but the shop keeper of Unfinished Creations has an attitude that prohibits us from doing so with her business. On a least 2 occasions, she has displayed an arrogant and rude attitude toward us. She was dismissive when asked a product question and acted as if we were subpar human beings because I attend a college outside of Yellow Springs. She acts as though she is doing you a favor to allow you to spend money there. There are plenty of other businesses where you can be treated with some respect so why patronize someone who treats you poorly? If you value service and being treated respectfully,...
Read moreI canât think of a time when Iâve had a better shopping experience. This shop seems to be a very-well kept secret where points of difference abound.
For instance, I purchased three-ring binders for 35% of what is charged by larger, more well-known stores. The prices of other items I picked up - a composition notebook (made in America), highlighters, Pilot G2 Series pens, Pilot G2 Series 0.38 refills - seemed the same, fractionally speaking, compared to counterparts available at more common stores.
Iâll make special trips to get office supplies here next time...
