To be clear, i like Dinko open play and it was well done. This is review of their Clinic, which i would put at 2 starts, but dont want to hurt their ratings as their rated open play are good, and space is nice.
Lets start with Clinics and my issue with it. I am low Advanced player, so i figured Intermediate clinic is good to do reps and practice.
Yet that this was biggest issue for me. 6 people on court (12 people total) means you dont actually practice all that much, even when is instructor not talking, 1/3 of the time we are just standing around. Bad experience. In NYC, it is 4 people per court, and its much better experience.
One extra court would have made massive difference. And kept everyone busy
Other issue is instructor inconsistency, one instructor (not with our group), was strong and i spend good amount of time leaning and listening to what she had to say.
While instructor for my group was probably around 3.5 Durp (my assessment) , and without deeper understanding of the game. 3.5 shouldn't be teaching anyone, nor 4.0s. It should be 4.5 and higher is fine. But this was just sessions riddle with issues. I wish i was on the other court, with other instructor.
This were my main issues with the session. So until they fix both of those problems, i...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Dinko Pickleball last October while in Miami, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Maria and Isabel, the owners, were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome right away. Their warmth set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional week of pickleball. I also had a lesson with Kat, and it was amazing how much I learned in such a short time. Her teaching style was engaging and easy to follow, which really improved my game. The open play sessions were just great fun! The atmosphere was lively, and the players were welcoming and competitive in the best way. On one of the days, I arrived early, and Juan, one of their team members, generously helped me warm up. That level of personal attention really stood out and made the experience even more special. A special shoutout to Brandon, who was incredibly friendly and encouraging on the court. It's clear that the entire team at Dinko is passional about creating an enjoyable and supportive environment for players of all levels. If you're in Miami and love pickleball, I can't recommend Dinko Pickleball enough. When I'm back in Miami, I'll be heading straight back to Dinko. Five...
Read moreI’ve never experienced a level of unprofessionalism and disrespect as bad as we did today at this place from a woman named Isabel. We booked out all 4 courts for 3 hours for a private team event. We called weeks ago to ask the best way to book our event and rent equipment, and we were recommended to book the courts online, which we did. We were also told twice that paddles and balls would be included in our booking. We showed up with 24 people and a full tournament bracket that we had spent hours planning, and there weren’t enough paddles for the 4 courts. When we asked about this, Isabel screamed at us for 15 minutes straight and wouldn’t let us say a word. She also said “if you want VIP treatment you should have booked a private event” even though her own employee is the one who assisted us with booking out all the courts. This lady is a nightmare and I have no idea how she is running a pickleball complex 1. With her insufferable attitude and 2. Not having the minimum number of paddles for the amount of courts at the complex. I’m a competitive pickleball player and would NEVER recommend this place to the pickleball community solely due to the way our group...
