Their Middletown,NJ branch does not have a drive thru. I didn't mind not able to come in to the branch to get more than $1,000 for the last few months due to COVID. I drove 30 miles to Edison so I can use the drive thru, the experience in the Edison drive thru was bad, but that's a different story. Read moreI visited the middletown branch to conduct shared transactions. In the pandemic era it is the first time I have ever showed my ID and not been asked to remove my mask to verify my identity. I am a member of a different credit union and presented out of state ID and they just handed me $1000 no questions asked. I cannot even buy a pack of smokes without showing my face but I can withdraw a large sum of cash I guess. Today I got a follow up phone call telling me if I expressed my displeasure at the CU's lax protection they couldn't help me anymore, because they don't need my opinion.
