BUYER BEWARE! these new Wonder restaurants intrigued me at first, but it is just corporate slop.
Also be forewarned.... If you do not like your food (and most likely you won't), they will NOT give you a refund. They will only give you store credit. But that's just the tip of the iceberg...
Just so everyone knows, this place has contracts with the restaurants to attempt to replicate the recipe and it's made in the local Wonder location, they are not importing food from the actual restaurants themselves. Having said that, they don't have flame ovens or grills , so how can they achieve this? I also wonder if they are using the same quality ingredients as the original stores. Hmmm...
Also they don't use gas or flames, electric only, so you have to ask yourself... How do you replicate a Bobby Flay steak without flames?
Oh and the CEO was once the CEO of Walmart USA e-commerce.
It seems like businesses like his want to put local restaurants out of business. They seem to want to be the Amazon of restaurants. In the NY Post video on YouTube he is basically saying he sees a future where everyone outsources their food to Wonder because every night you can order from a different restaurant. This place doesn't feel so innocent, just...
Read moreWe will be back. The “multiple restaurants” concept confused me until I finally placed my first order. My first thought was that they must have frozen selections from each one. I was so wrong. It’s one restaurant, which has a big selection of menu options organized as “restaurants”. When you dig in you can see how many of the menu items overlap with fresh ingredients that making it all possible. Nothing tasted preprepared. It was really surprisingly good for a mostly “take out” concept. The portion sizes were larger than expected so a good value for the price. This is not just fast food. It’s sit down restaurant quality food prepared fresh and finished quickly. The quesadilla was thick and filling of chicken and cheese. Not flat like Taco Bell. The brisket was amazing. So tender and juicy and when you add the BBQ sauce it was an 11/10. The chicken sandwich was a huge breast. Perfect onion rings (the beer battered one). The cornbread was good and big enough to share. The best part is that everyone doesn’t have to be in the mood for the same thing. You can all choose what you kind of food want in...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to try Wonder for the first time due to all of the good reviews and it turned out utterly disappointing. We ordered ahead for pick up only to find that our order had mysteriously disappeared. I had to wait over 40 minutes for them to remake the order. There were no seats available, so I had to stand around all that time while 8 months pregnant! There was no apology for the wait and I noticed quite a few people waiting a while for their food. When we finally got the order, it was horrible. My husband purchased a $37 rare steak that was burnt and extremely overdone. My Mexican bowl was cold/meat was dry, the queso that comes with the chips was tiny and the chicken fingers were overcooked and bone dry. This was our first and last time ordering from here. The price is not worth the quality of food/service we received. Save yourself the trouble and...
