JUST A NOTE We went to our favorite restaurant over the weekend (July 8th) and for the first time ever we had a not so great time :( We sat at the bar with Sean, as always he was friendly and took great care of us, the food was delicious! Sammy, always makes it a point to stop by and say Hi, it makes us feel so welcomed, but then..... Not sure who the new manager is, but his negative energy was consuming the air! We have been going here for so many years! Benny the new owner did something right when he took over, he recognized that he had/has a great staff and menu.
June 2023 - I feel the need to add to my previous review. We have been regulars at Casa Mia for too many years to count! We were nervous when we heard there was going to be new owner's! we panicked, thinking our favorite restaurant was going to change and maybe not for the good. Well, Let Me Tell You.... WE LOVE THAT THE STAFF STAYED ON! SAMMY IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! SEAN, ALWAYS SO NICE AND ATTENTIVE! The menu still has our favorites! The pizza oven, FIXED and the pizza is delicious! Ben has done a really good job at keeping Casa Mia's quality to a 5-Star level! Keep up the good work everyone! Mary & John Romano
We have been going to Casa Mia for many years, it is our Go To place! Fantastic Food paired with Fantastic Service! We feel like we are family when we arrive! Read moreWhen dining I was unsure about the lunch menu. Hungry due to fasting for a blood work. Late 2:30 I asked for another pasta the two ziti and rigatoni were very close to same. As I as well do, the waitress nicely offered to get dinner menu for me. As she did and turned her head she rolled her eyes. I’m guilty about myself so it was amusing.. Speaking to my husband I cooed laughingly that she rolled her eyes. The woman/ Mananagement at front walked over to my table. Speaking she firmly said she doesn’t believe she has rolled her eyes at me..!!
The waitress had her face towards me and her back towards the woman. I’m speaking to my husband.. Really!! Nonetheless inappropriate!!! Not her place to come to table and speak to me about! Should have left and didn’t. Ordered an appetizer of calamari. As it arrived the smell of vinegar hit my nose.Over done with completely, olives and capers nice flavor but the dilution of brine vinegar was heavy! Let it go and discarded eating. Waitress lovely but she sensed the pain in the air. I simply said I’m fine don’t wrap. Hadn’t been here in some time. The last dinner was fine except the wine price. Asking I was told better to get bottled than by the glass. When dessert came with check I had figured out I paid $15 dollars greater for bottle than by glass for same wine..there were four in party.. I spoke about the ill advise on wine I got no response from them.. Not returning there’s so much better than this for a...
Read moreThis was our first time dining at Casa Mia on saturday, February 17, 2024. My husband and daughter took my mother-in-law to dinner for her birthday. The service was phenomenal but the food was so-so because it was missing salt. We all had different dishes with pasta and upon the first mouthful, you could taste that there was no salt and whoever was in the kitchen preparing the pasta did not salt the water. I had linguine and clams with the white sauce, my daughter had linguine with shrimp in a rosé sauce, my husband had a fish dish that came with a side of pasta. All of us noticed the cardboard taste of the pasta. That's like a mortal sin to Cooking 101. You can't fix that after the fact to make up for the unsalted water. It's a rule that you must use salt when cooking potatoes, rice, and pasta otherwise it's pointless and you ruin the food. Not sure if the chef or kitchen staff had a bad night and someone just forgot to salt the water or if someone in the kitchen decided that everyone needs to limit their salt intake. I do think our meals would have been fabulous had the pasta been cooked...
