I got my dog groomed here for the first and last time. First, they forgot to ask for his vaccination paperwork. I didn't realize it until I had left. When I came to pick him up, I figured they would ask right away. But nope. So I told them and the receptionist was very casual, like "oh yeah, thanks". When they brought my dog out, he had hair all over him from other dogs and dirt marks on all four paws. I asked if he had been washed and the groomer said "yes, but the marks on his paws must have come from him biting his paws. He was biting his paws a lot". He's never had dirt marks from biting his paws. I've also never had a groomer tell me that he was biting his paws after being groomed. I had to wash him when I got him from the groomer which has never happened before. Now he keeps scratching himself. Very disappointing and I won't be coming back. Don't go here! Don't waste your money or risk this type of experience. The pictures are the fur that was clumped all over him. It got in my pockets and all over my car.

German Shepherd, 110 pounds. Added on the de-shedding for $35 making the grooming $95. I was told he didn’t like the blow dryer on his bum so she was unable to get all of the undercoat out. That’s his worst area for shedding. I don’t see why I was still charged for something they couldn’t even complete. It looks like nothing was done. Recently moved here and have been trying different groomers in the area and I hate to say it but I’ll probably have to travel the 2 hours to his original groomer of 6 years who has never had an issue with him and the blow dryer and charges less than half the price for a much better job. My first appointment was cancelled the day of due to an employee being sick which was discouraging. The staff was friendly enough. Update: owner reached out and refunded me. Thank you very much.

Our dog Biscotti has severe anxiety, so leaving him anywhere is always a stressful experience for us. From the moment we walked in, the staff here went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and safe. They took the time to get to know him, move at his pace, and provide gentle reassurance. It was clear they truly cared—not just about taking care of dogs, but about making sure each one feels secure and loved. To our amazement, he warmed up quickly and even seemed happy and relaxed when we picked him up. We’re so grateful for the patience, kindness, and genuine love the entire team showed him. This will be our go-to boarding place from now on!

Edit: I'm just editing this because I can't find an option to delete it and I need to remove my earlier endorsement. We really enjoyed the dog stop for a long time and used the day care and boarded both of our dogs frequently, but haven't returned in over a year because of a serious health concern in one of our dogs that was immediately evident to me upon picking them up. He was hospitalized for a week and the vet said it was clear from his condition that he had to have been seriously ill for days as he had eaten some kind of fabric that was partially dissolved and blocking his intestines. No symptoms were reported to me, and in my initial phone call to get a status check, I was told he had behaved normally and ate fine. Only in a second call was I informed that he had actually been lethargic, wasn't eating as he normally did when boarded, and had vomited the morning I picked him up.

I'm leaving three of the initial five stars because there were honestly some staff who were there who were really excellent and attentive, and my dogs really enjoyed the dog stop for a long time. It's very possible that his symptoms were just initially unreported by newer staff, and I'm very hopeful that this experience was a fluke, but I'm not willing to take the chance...

When this place first opened I thought it was awesome! But it has gone down over the last year. Now they try to nickel and dime you each chance they get. They tried to charge me a 25.00 cancellation fee for canceling a grooming appointment. Then tried to say I was a no show. If they would actually pick up the phone or check messages they would have known I cancelled and why. Then when I tried to schedule my pup for grooming they refused service after being a customer since they opened. No loyalty here. I could have paid the 25.00 but it is the principal of the matter for me. Needless to say they have lost a good customer and I will not be using any of there services again and I suggest going some place else unless you want to get nickeled and dime to death in fees. I suggest Scruffy to Fluffy in Smyrna. They are patient, and friendly and my Oreo is always ready to go. I used to have to drag Oreo through the door at Dog Stop. I often wonder if this Dog Stop is associated with the Dog Stop in Wilmington that had to close due to extenuating circumstances around a dog’s death after a boarding...
