I literally never rate stuff on google, or anywhere for that matter. But I feel like I should mention an issue I encountered in the store.
First and foremost let me say, the store itself and the staff are Great!. It has got a lot of good cheaper products for those of us on a actual tight budget. It is probably the only store in this over priced town! that sells beef/steak products for an actual cheap price(not like the other ones that seem to think High prices are cheap, or a good deal). It is also nice that it is literally right next to Walmart, so you can go right from one store and then straight the other.
However the reason I am rating this low is because the store has quite a big safety hazard. The stores layout is way way! to compacted. The store becomes way to crowded because of this, and that is a big safety and fire hazard. Things need to be moved around to make more space in between aisles. It is way to tightly packed in there, once it fills up you get claustrophobic very quick. And just like with any store, you get a lot of people that like to stand in one spot and not move for a while, or people that like to take their sweet time in one spot lol. I know nothing can be done about that, but the tight space and lack of room makes this such a big issue. I literally had to wait for a mound of people to move out of one aisle so I could get through, I was literally trapped in the aisle lol. Its funny talking about it now, but if there was a fire or something everyone would of gotten stuck or ended up crushing each other. You guys have got to take stuff like seriously. Make some room in there!
Everyone should also know that the prices on the Aldi's website, is not the same as the instore prices, the in store prices are much cheaper which is a...
Read moreNot the biggest grocery store where you can find EVERYTHING on your list, but they have the basics, and often fun specialty or seasonal items. You have to plug a quarter into your cart to get it, and have to return your cart to get your quarter back, but on average I spend a lot less when I shop here than at other stores. I have good experiences with the workers (I heard once of someone else having a negative experience and was surprised to hear it). The chashiers are good about ringing in another worker to help the checkout line go faster. Because of the smaller size of the store I can be in and out of there in 45 minutes on a big shopping day, and that's even after bagging my own groceries, then it typically takes less time at home to put groceries away because I have bagged them according to where they belong (fridge vs. pantry, etc.). It's easier than big stores to just run in and grab something. Bathrooms were clean. It doesn't have all the Name Brand options, and has fewer brands to choose from, but that's another reason I shop faster ... Don't have to spend 3 minutes on each item trying to figure out which one is cheaper and I don't get overwhelmed by the options. Not the place for everyone, but definitely the...
Read moreThis is, by far, my favorite store. Aldi has a great selection of products that are as good, if not better, than most "branded" products. Their cereals, baking supplies, and dairy products are great, especially the prices. They have an EXCELLENT selection of wines, beer, and ciders.
I also love Aldi's cookware that rotates throughout the year. I've purchased pans there that have heavy steel bottoms (for even heat distribution) for under $20. These pans rival brands like Calphalon for a fraction of the price. I've purchased cast iron Dutch ovens in two different sizes, and have never been disappointed. I purchased a set of knives (chef's and carving) that outperform knives that I've paid 4x the amount that Aldi charges.
Definitely take a chance on Aldi, and don't be afraid of their store brand merchandise. Even the small appliances, and power tools I've purchased work amazingly well for the price you pay. Save yourself some money, and make the...
