I ordered the honey chicken on a biscuit and It was good, with mashed potatoes and gravy and cooked carrots, my carrots were cold, but chicken very good. I also was supposed to receive 2 biscuits with my meal and I never received them. My fiance got his biscuits, he did not like the salad that he ordered. He said the dressing was not good at all. Supposed to be some kinda southwest salad or something of that nature. It would have been okay if the gross dressing wasn't also put underneath the salad by the kitchen before being served. So his meal was not enjoyable. He had asked for ranch because he tasted the dressing before he poured it over his salad and he didn't like it. My son ordered a hamburger and it came with some kinda black pepper sauce, and I don't know how anyone likes any of these special sauces that Bob Evans pairs with their meals. They're so bad. Needless to say, my son didn't use the black pepper sauce. We only received 1 straw for the 3 of us. She said she would bring more and she didn't. Which I expected because I didn't get my biscuits. My daughter who is 3, we ordered the turkey kids meal and her turkey was cold and dried out. They must have microwaved it, but it still came to our table cold. No gravy on it either like the menu picture. It was not warm and moist like the bob Evans signature turkey meals. It was dry, and did not look good to eat, and she didn't eat it. Her carrots (same as I ordered) were dark colored orange like they were sitting out all day, cold and looked like left overs, where as mine were full bright colored carrots. She would not even eat them, and she LOVES cooked carrots. At least her mashed potatoes were warm so she ate them. I was very disappointed in her meal, and I felt bad that this is what they serve children. Giving the leftovers that adults won't eat to the children. Pathetic. We use to get the Thanksgiving dinner here, but this year I'm making our dinner instead. Probably won't be back for a...
Read moreWhen we arrived, I gave my name and sat down right next to the podium, very visible to the next staff member. This staff member made a mistake and seated a couple who came in after us, ignoring my name that was already written down as waiting for the table that he used to seat the couple. The restaurant was very busy and it was important that I eat as soon as possible (medical reasons). My sister got up and pointed out the error to this staff member. He was exceedingly rude and dismissive. Rather than trying to listen to our issue or at least apologize, he immediately began arguing with my sister that we weren't there when the couple came in (We were. In a very visible location). He then said, "Yeah, whatever." and walked away, coming back a minute later saying, "I have a table for you now if you want it." and walked away again. He wasn't wearing a name tag, and I can't be certain, but he acted like he may have been high. The food was good. The waitress was nice and knew what she was doing. She even took it upon herself to apologize on the young man's behalf, even though none of it was her fault or responsibility. The manager, despite being very busy, made time to come and talk to us. Overall, the restaurant should have been a very good experience. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by one poorly chosen member of the staff and I don't feel that a proper resolution was reached. I understand that it's hard to find workers in the current fiscal climate, but the workers that do get hired and stay working for a company represent that company. In the future, I'll just take my business elsewhere and avoid any...
Read moreWe told the waitress that we had a timeline to get to a movie. We arrived at 527 oh, she took her order at 5:40 and we told her we needed to be at the movie before 6:20. She said that was absolutely doable. Did not come back and ask for refills on our coffee. At 6 we were still waiting for our food which was soup and salad and their pot roast special. One of the girls that are table used to prep food there so she knows how long it takes and said that was absolutely a ridiculously long. Of time. Two of the girls already a loaded potato and salad another one was vegetable soup and salad then the pot roast. I ordered the large size so I would have leftovers to take home in the waitress even talked about that fact. When our food arrives the potatoes are not hot and neither were the mashed potatoes in my pot roast. We ask for refills on the tea and coffee and mention that the coffee was not hot the first time and my tea was only half full of water. We watch the manager over by the kitchen window wondering why he was not running food. Our waitress hardly ever came around and somehow the manager ended up at our table and asked about the food and we told him about the potatoes which he then brought hot ones. The girls did not get a chance to finish their salads before we had to leave because our food was so late coming. I also got the small order of the pot roast meals which was $10 and for $2 more I could have gotten the full order which I did order even though the waitress at talked about the fact that I would have leftovers. All in all not a very...
