This Home Depot is the store I go to first if I ever need anything they might sell. Not only do they have a great selection with quality items, everyone is always friendly here and someone almost always stops me to ask if I need help.
But this store goes above and beyond in regards to customer service.
Just to give an example of what I mean, I ordered a small chest freezer off the Home Depot app and after it was delivered, I unboxed it and saw it was damaged. So I called the store and spoke to James who told me he could give me the number to have someone schedule to pick it up to exchange it or I could just bring it in, which I did. I didn't even need the box.
Freezers stock levels were tough, but James not only went out of his way to find me a new freezer, he went to a nearby town to pick it up and bring it back to the store for me! He also refunded my initial delivery fee and sold me the next size up for the same price!
Then, when I get the new chest freezer home when wiping out the inside, I notice at the bottom in one of the corners there's a gap. So now I'm worried that when frost builds up and I defrost the freezer water might leaked into that gap. So I text James who is off work but still replies to me, kindly sympathizing and suggests I call the store.
I end up talking to the operations manager, Nick Chambers. He offers to swap it out for me or lets me know it would be fine if I wanted to seal it. I agree that I'd like to keep it after everything that happened and that sealing the bottom would be the best choice. So Nick ends up giving me a free professional caulking gun and free caulk, a total $30 value.
I already thought Home Depot had the best selection and the friendliest staff. But after everything I've experienced with this store, I'm a Home Depot...
Read moreNot taking my dog here to socialize anymore, will just be getting curbside pickup from now on. (Sorry to the workers who now have to bring it out, truly i apologize)
Unfortunately there is an older man who works here who continues to disrespect the training vest and instructions not the pet the puppy unless she is calm and sitting and we say okay. He said he didn't read the vest at first, which is possibly acceptable, besides the fact that you should Never EVER pet a dog that has a vest on!!!!! But some people apparently don't know that...
what really set me off today was that as he was reaching down and talking to her and causing her to react even further and unlearn everything we are working very hard with her on, he SAYS HIMSELF, his own words,
"oh, I'm messing up your training, aren't I, im just messing everything up!"
Over. And over again. He said it at least 5 or 6 times. I was checking out and had my card in the reader and could not leave the situation. I spent four years saving up for my puppy, and all her things, and therapy dog classes. This is what ive been working towards for 7 years and dreaming of my entire life, to have a therapy dog who can help me with my panic attacks, social anxiety, PTSD, and someday seizures as well. I've invested my time and money, both which I do not have a lot of, to find someone to help me, my beautiful dog, and people like this could ruin all of that. Everything that I've worked for, for myself and my dog.
It really is unfortunate because I was looking forward to coming here to shop this spring for plants and lots of things for my new house, and there are so many awesome workers here who have HELPED my dog socialize a lot, but just one negative interaction does a lot more damage than one positive interaction. So, We will...
Read moreThis particular store is awful. The customer service is less than pleasant. And the way it's managed is a joke. I asked to purchase a display last week because they were out of an item I wanted and other displays around it had obviously been sold, as the tags and space where still there but no items. The dwarf who assisted me had an attitude as soon as I asked for help. As if the mere fact of assistance was beyond outrageous. When he finally stopped huffing and puffing about looking up the item and called his manager with clear attitude in his voice and began giving negative context clues. Which if you have ever worked in retail or sales are easy to pick up on " yeah I have THIS customer here who is asking about a display, I said we PROBABLY WOULDN'T be able to sell it but FIGURED I would check with you ANYWAYS...MMHMM....MMMHMMM ok.(hangs up) yeah he said no but to check back next week way may sell it then if we don't get in anymore" mind you we both are aware this item is sold out completely online and also for every store in a 100,000 mile radius. So I come in to return a different item I got online that came without parts and it hasn't even been two whole days at this point and guess what...yup they sold the display. On top of that the item I brought in for return didn't get processed correctly and I had to call and fight with "customer service" about it 3 different times . What a joke Lowes in midland is such a better store with better employees and better care for the customers. Please heed this warning and stay far away from this store and shop at lowes or travel to mt pleasant go to Menards or Baycity or Saginaw to get anything this is not the only home improvement store around you have better options I have learned my lesson and will be shopping...
