The trip itself was great! The trail was incredible! Amazing views and fun terrain! The vehicles were nice and came equipped with GPS and coolers full of ice.
Unfortunately our post trip experience was frustrating and disappointing.
I tipped over one of the UTVs a little past the halfway point of the trail. When I returned the vehicle, Casey (I think it was his name) was very nice and made sure none of us were hurt. Then, the owner arrived to inspect the vehicle.
I felt attacked when the owner said, “You don’t listen real well do you?” and then again when he said, “I knew when you left you were going to bring them back damaged.
They asked that I sign the post inspection form and write down my insurance claim number before we left. I did so, but as we were about to leave, the owner told us we couldn’t leave until we paid him $6,000.
I tried to empathize and understand the owner’s situation. We stayed for nearly three hours trying to assure the owner that we would be financially responsible.
I felt hesitant to pay $6,000 out of pocket because the owner used paperwork of damages from a different UTV. I was concerned about reclaiming any overcharge if by chance my costs were less.
I felt unheard when the owner refused my negotiations for a good faith or goodwill payment.
I felt uncomfortable when the owner raised his voice and used swear words to communicate.
I felt threatened when the owner told us he was in litigation with other customers and said he could do the same thing to us with his lawyer who charges more than $2,000 an hour. I also felt threatened when the owner told us the park ranger, who was coming to report the case, was a good friend of his.
I felt frustrated because I wanted to use my insurance. In the end, my insurance covered the costs despite the owner telling us multiple times that day, and weeks after, that insurance won’t cover the costs. He also tried charging my friend’s credit card $6,000 after we left.
My friends and I were disappointed in the way we were treated after the accident. I believe my friends and I were calm and level headed throughout the process. We hope the owner can use this experience to improve the post-accident process and clearly communicate what the business expects for insurance coverage and...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with how the employee (who i’m now learning may be the owner of this place upon reading the reviews) treated us. Extremely unprofessional, acted like he didn’t want our business, had a very horrible attitude. I went in to try and find some ski boots and he sized me completely wrong. Tried on a pair of boots that were extremely tight and uncomfortable. (I understand that ski boots are going to be tight and a little uncomfortable, especially for somebody who’s never skiied before like me) But my toes were jammed and curled in the bottom of this boot and he was insisting that they were totally the right size and that he would recommend going with an even smaller size if I was buying new. Ridiculously self absorbed, bragged and bragged about how he’s been doing this (skiing) for 25 years and how he knows the sizing is right, made me feel very uncomfortable and invalidated and basically denied us of any help after that. Don’t go here, I would rather make the drive to PC or SLC and pay their prices than do business with this con artist. I thought maybe I caught him on a rough/bad day and was really hoping that was the case but upon reading the reviews (which I should’ve done beforehand) it’s obvious to me that this is not just an off day or an out of character experience. Super disappointed and honestly shocked this person is still...
Read moreWhen we went in, the guy working there told us there was a 20 minute wait. Nearly two hours later, we finally had our gear and were checking out. We had a very strict return time of 5:00 PM even though the rentals took so long. The guy also wanted to know where we were going and was concerned we were headed to Sundance and warned us of rocks and slush. The price was $5 more per rental than listed on the website that morning. He said the website had just changed and he did not honor the pricing on the website we had seen. Sundance resort cost only $5.00 more than what we paid and the people in our group who rented gear there were on the slopes a full hour before us, despite having left after us. When we finally got to Sundance, the snow was great, but half of us had our feet fall asleep in our boots and got really cold feet from poor circulation because the boots were too tight. Some members of our group had expressed that the boots were too tight, but they had not taken the next size up because it was too large. We took off our socks at the bottom of the slope to make room for our feet and that helped a lot, but this has by far been the least comfortable gear any of us have ever used. None of us would go back to this place for...
