I have been purchasing Western Union ďżźmoney orders for home and Office rent for the last two years at Krogerâs. I have always purchased them using my debit card (not cash). These are obviously larger money orders so they always write down my drivers license, my social and the money order numbers. I usually go to Krogerâs at Stoneridge (which are amazing and have never given me a hard time ever ) but occasionally I will go to Krogerâs at 300 South Hamilton Rd. only because itâs usually on the way to where Iâm going. ďżź I tried to purchase money orders at Krogerâs 300 S. Hamilton Rd., approximately two months ago. Upon walking up to the customer service counter and telling them what I needed. There was a manager that began to argue with me, claiming that I needed to purchase them with cash and I explained to him, no thatâs not true I purchase them every month with my debit card. As he continued to argue with me, he called someone and they explained to him that he was wrong and that yes I can purchase them with a debit card. He apologized profusely. So today I go into Krogerâs at 300 South Hamilton Rd. to purchase my monthly money orders.ďżźAs I approach the customer service counter I am greeted by a young adult female named Jessie. I explained to her as I usually do that I need to purchase several large money orders. First thing out of her mouth. Oh, you can only do it with cash. And Iâm thinking to myself here we go again. I said to her no thatâs not true. I said last time I was here I went through the same thing they argued with me. They apologized, and they sold me the money orders. She continued to argue with me so I asked for a manager. Alex (not sure his title) but he had a red vest on so Iâm assuming heâs got some kind of a title came up and picked up the paper and said you can only purchase these with cash. And once again, I explained to him that no thatâs not true. Iâve been purchasing large money orders at Krogerâs for over two years with my debit card. He continued to argue with me. So at that point, I asked for a store manager. Alex slammed the paper down on the counter and said well theyâre just gonna tell you the same thing. Now mind you I spend easily $5000 a month at Krogerâs between money orders and groceries for our entire family. I understand that they are being careful because these are large money orders. If youâre so concerned about it, stop selling them and if youâre going to sell them stop treating people like their criminals and giving them a hard time! Finally, a manager came up and made two phone calls and found out, Yes, I was right! The manager did apologize for Alex. I went back up to the counter to purchase the money orders from Jessie and she was still snotty and rude. I told the manager if I had an employee who treated customers the way I was treated today they would be fired. She said oh theyâre part of the union they canât be fired. Thatâs not true, because I know someone that was fired from Krogerâs. I think Krogerâs corporate office would like to know how their customers are being treated by young rude, disrespectful employees. Shameful! I will never step foot in this store ever again. I will take my business elsewhere and start buying my money orders and groceries somewhere else! Maybe Krogerâs will take this seriously and actually do...
Read moreSo I went to the Kroger on S 300 Hamilton rd in gahanna. I was stopped and asked for my receipt when loading groceries in my car. I told the woman at self check out (who I see several times a week) to have a nice day, and because she wasnât watching the registers she just assumed I stole all $107 worth of my groceries. No sensors went off when leaving, there was nothing to indicate I had stolen anything. When speaking to one manager she told me that because she thought she recognized me she spared me from having loss prevention come out to me. I gave her my receipt and said I am here every other day almost. She responds ânot everyone knows youâ, when i was demonstrating I am a loyal Kroger customer, specifically to that store. I was embarrassed that they approached me in the parking lot like some criminal because I used the self check out service that you offer. I spoke with another manager at that store who was a bit more understanding of my frustration, but overall they handled that incredibly poorly, should have looked at the cameras at self check out to see that I had paid instead of chasing after me in the parking lot. This was incredibly uncalled for and obviously there needs to be more people paying attention to the registers to ensure that you are stopping people who are actually doing something wrong instead of stopping paying customers who were picking up their groceries...
Read moreI just stopped in to grab a few things to make dinner since this one is on the way home. One of my purchases was ground beef, Kroger brand. When i got home and started preparing dinner I opened the package of ground beef. The moment i do the smell hits me and i look at the date on the package and see that it had EXPIRED 12 DAYS EARLIER and they still had it out in the case for sale!!!! Is no one aware of FIFO (first in first out) with food or rotation of stock at all! As i walk into the store to get my money back for the spoiled product. I hear some employees stating that they are done for the rest of their shift and it is barely 7 pm at this time. I think they are open for a few hours yet. My thoughts are maybe have the employees that are not doing anything check some of the expiration dates on the products for sale. I understand these things happen but 12 Days is rather excessive to have been missed by everyone. The fact that the manager did not seem that surprised really took me back. She didn't seem overly concerned that they had items that out of date in the store. She barely had anything to say other than "i will give you your money back, and would you like to swap it out?" I really expected a different reaction. Anyways, will no longer shop at this location but for all those that are willing to risk it for the biscuit please check the dates on the products...
