We usually go to Momiland in Polaris but have been looking forward to the Gahanna location to open after seeing the amazing structures they were building for the kids. After visiting today, there are a few things Iâd like to comment on..
1.) The staff was friendly, the inside play area for the infants and big kids were amazing! There were so many options, even for the âbigger kidsâ. We typically go to Polaris since itâs closer, but significantly smaller.
2.) The structure inside needs more lighting. Itâs SO dark and the kids are scared to go in for the first time.
3.) The facility was disgustingly dirty. The bathrooms were gross. The floor was sticky. In the play area, there was hair stuck inbetween the climbing stairs, sweat/spit up nasty bodily fluids ALL OVER EVERY SURFACE in the place. The âclearâ windows on ALL of the windows on the climbing structure had sweat drippings/ hand prints ect. While we were there, a girl vomited a little while jumping on the trampoline and the mom just got a tissue and wiped it up and threw it away with no disinfecting. Mind you, we got there at 9:15AM. After walking around, my socks were covered in grime and sticking to the floor. The place is on another level disgusting. I didnât even want to touch anything.
I really want to give it another chance because the inside is SO COOL and the kids loved it. But while we were there, not one employee got up, picked up anything, wiped down tables, moved chairs in. IMO knowing how gross kids typically are, those employees should have a bottle of cleaner and a rag in their hand all day long. People are going to get seriously sick from playing in facilities like these. Hoping they get it together because we love coming...
Read moreThe place is really nice and clean. The children seem to have a lot of fun however, whenever booking a party at Momi land please be sure to read the fine print. I attended my granddaughterâs first birthday party this weekend and the manager came in around 4:50pm with a rude attitude and told us she would give us five minutes to clean up and exit the room without charging us. Please note the staff never came in and gave us a warning on the time ( never said we had 5 more minutes till the party was over) We had a small party so it didnât take us long to get all of our belongings, clean and leave out of the room. When we got to the front counter to leave the manager handed us me form and asked me to fill out the survey and said sign the back of the form, I noticed on the back of the form there was a $150.00 fee and when I asked what the fee was for she told me we did not leave the room in time and there was a $20 a minute charge. I asked her how long did we stay in the room and the manager COULD NOT even tell us how long we were in the room. I asked her to see the camera so that I can time how long it took us to clean up the room and she still did not let us know the time, so I was really confused on how it came up to $150 without the manager even knowing how long it took us to clean up. On the form we signed there was only a $50 fee if you did not exit the room at the exact time. We cleaned up without having a broom or dust pan provided so we could clean the floors. A family member noticed the manager and staff were sitting in the front laughing about the charges she gave us. As a grandmother, and a party planner, I would not recommend anyone to have a birthday party at...
Read moreUpdate: no one ever called to address the issues. My husband called several times and finally got a response.
Awful experience today. We enjoyed this place right when it opened. Will not be visiting again and will advise others not to as well.
a 7/8 year old boy pulled down my 4 year old sonâs pants and underwear in front of a group of kids in a high, dark space where I couldnât see. A different 7/8 year old boy pulled down a little girls pants. Multiple children witnessed and confirmed. The worker (who was kind and helpful) was unable to contact the owner and manager at the time to figure out what to do. After calling later in the afternoon, I was told a manager would email me in 1-2 days with a refund and next steps. Completely unacceptable response to a serious issue.
Overall the space is dim with many, many lightbulbs not working. The bottom climbing space and upper climbing space are extremely dark. It is completely unsafe for small children. There are large signs telling parents not to climb the structure but, like we experienced, completely unsafe to have children interacting out of sight. I was watching my child as best I could but the group of kids had moved to an area not visible to parents.
It is also dirty and dusty with many features not working and broken. Children are not being supervised by adults. Most are sitting on phones and hardly glancing up. I witnessed children swearing, name calling, and...
