I got to the store at 6:40, I looked around and found what I needed. I was about to proceed to register to pay for my items when an associate that worked at the Milford location “Dylan” comes up to and states “It’s now 7pm and you have to leave. The registers automatically lock so we can not charge you for the items you have.” I asked him that if that was a case wouldn’t it make sense to inform customers of this prior to closing time. When I said I would like to speak with the young lady at the cash register who cashing out other customers he tried to forcefully take the items from me, I refused to give the items and repeated I would like to speak to the other associate first. As I waited for her she looked and then said to Dylan can you cash this gentleman out, and now somehow the register was no longer locked. This type of racist behavior is absolutely appalling. I say racist because I was the only colored person there. There was another gentleman who was not colored, waiting for the cashier that this employee was not harassing at all, and did not say anything to. They have brand names like Polo, Nautica, Reebok, etc. They recently started selling The North Face also on a trial basis. The problem though is you can't look for your favorites and then order those things in larger sizes. Those brands make items specific to DXL and the prices are far higher than they should be. They have some kohl's like sales which helps. They have an OK rewards program. If you use your rewards though and need to do an exchange or return, you will not get the rewards back. Also you can't return shirts from a package. I was not aware of this ahead of time. I can't try them on so I bought my normal size. Though the cut is different now and they didn't fit. As a big man, it can be difficult to find clothing that fits well and is stylish, but DXL exceeded my expectations. The store had a great selection of clothing in my size, and the staff was incredibly helpful in helping me find the perfect outfits.
Not only did I find clothing that fit well and looked great, but I was also impressed with the quality of the products. Everything I purchased felt durable and well-made, which is important when buying clothes in larger sizes.
