I will agree with the sentiment that many other reviewers have expressed which is that this place is fine albeit slightly aggressive when it comes to sales until youâve made your purchase through them.
Once they have your money unfortunately they do not provide even the most basic level of customer service.
We purchased our couch on Sunday evening and there was some confusion even during the sales process the salesperson initially said that the entirety of Connecticut was within the delivery area and then at checkout realized we were actually âout of rangeâ and that there would be an additional up charge of $250 on top of the existing delivery fee to deliver to us. Luckily they were able to wave the additional fee when we intended to walk away from the purchase.
After we finalized the deal is when things went from mediocre to awful. The sales person we were working with said that we would not be able to get a delivery date until the next day due to being out of range however assured us heâd put in the request that evening and weâd get a definite date the next morning but that the delivery would be within the next two weeks. Monday evening we called back as we had not heard anything at that point we were initially routed through a call center who told us the request for delivery had in fact not been put in. The agent at the call center routed us to the actual store, the person in the store confirmed there was no request and that theyâd reach out to us no later than 6pm that same evening. We heard nothing from them.
We then waited until Tuesday evening in the hopes that they would proactively call us either with a delivery date or at the very least an explanation that there was a hold up and they were working to fix. Just before the business closed we called Tuesday and finally spoke to our actual sales representative who said that the request had been raised on Sunday and he was unsure as to why we didnât have a date, but not to worry, heâd call us back by the end of the day or Wednesday morning at the latest. In a shocking twist of events Wednesday at 5:30 we still hadnât heard anything. At this point we were frustrated by the lack of even the most basic customer service and called to cancel our order.
While on the phone in the process of cancelling we got a representative from the actual store again and as soon as I mentioned that I wanted to cancel our purchase within SECONDS they were able to give us a delivery date. At that point we opted to move forward with the cancellation anyways as the delivery date offered would be almost a full month after purchase. We were told we would receive a confirmation cancellation email within 20 minutes of the call.
As of writing this review despite having cancelled we have not received a confirmation or the refund. We wouldnât have cancelled if there had been literally any communication to us even in regards to a delay but they gave us the run around, lied to us, and refused to assist us in obtaining our purchase.
We have already found and purchased a couch elsewhere and I recommend to anyone looking for furniture to do the same. Upon shopping around we were able to find options that were similar (and at the same or better quality) for a fraction of the price. Discussing this story recently almost everyone we told had a similar experience with Ashley.

I shopped in store last month and told the rep I was moving into a second floor apartment in an older home with a narrow stairwell. The doorways measure 32â and I needed to find something inexpensive that would fit up the stairs. I saved for MONTHS to be able to purchase something in-person versus risking it with Amazon or Wayfair.
I purchased a sofa chaise from the outlet that my rep guaranteed would fit, since it comes in 2 pieces. Before I paid for it, I asked if there were any non-refundable fees and he informed me of a $99 re-delivery fee if I miss the delivery window, which is reflected on my order confirmation. He speedily clicked through a bunch of screens, not saying anything, and scanned my card. That was it. He said he would text me the confirmation, he never did. He said I would receive the confirmation via email, it went to spam.
The deliverymen came and the sofa would not fit up the stairs despite the opinion of the sales rep. I didnât sign for the furniture and they took it back to the warehouse. I called to get a refund and was told the sofa is refundable but not the delivery fee. There is no sofa in my apartment. Why am I expected to pay a delivery fee for a sofa I donât own?
I called customer service for a refund and was told there is a $139 non-refundable delivery fee. I told them my order confirmation only lists the $99 re-delivery fee, so the agent told me this store would call me within a few hours to clear it up.
The store never called me. There is no note about a non-refundable delivery fee on my confirmation (that I had to search for in spam because the rep never followed up)!
