This was the worst experience we've ever had. Don't believe all the gimmick and find yourself a Realtor that would truly lookout for your benefit. I'm glad the house sold. However, it wasn't because of much effort on their part. Not once did we feel correctly represented. If Zero Stars were an option, that would be their true rating.
Lisa,
Our dissatisfaction was expressed every time we had a conversation with Carl. He knew we weren't happy with the way things were being handled. You, on the other hand, we never had the opportunity to even meet you, nor did you ever reply to text messages or picked up the phone. You might have a lot of 5 Star reviews as you mentioned. However, it doesn't take away my opinion and what we experienced with your office. You might be good at marketing Your Business and Yourself NOT the houses that are granted to you.
On your second point, I have no anger. We sold because it was time to move on. Carl's suggested price was 10k lower than what we listed the home for(not substantially more as you stated.) However, he knew that that price was extremely negotiable. The truth is, that the house was not marketed correctly. The only thing you guys did, was added to the MLS and posted on your Facebook page. You didn't even care about adding important details to the listing, nor did you update Zillow to reflect the correct information. I know you mentioned you had no control over what Zillow adds. However, when we tried calling they said you guys had claimed the listing and you needed to call to make the changes. This was something we told Carl numerous times, it never got updated correctly.
On your 3rd point, I truly don't believe that us listing the house for 10k more than the suggested sale price. Was what caused the house to not sell. A month after the house was on the market we dropped the price by 36k. Still the house didn't sell.... 20 days later we dropped the house again by a little over 34k. still the house didn't sell.. 30 days later we dropped it again by 25k.. still the house didn't sell. 30 days later the house sold for 540k. That was 145k less than your suggested sale price of 685k. Wouldn't it be better to say that nothing was done to market the home correctly.? I have no doubt you could sell homes that are less expensive, those usually sell on their own.
On your 4th point, the ONLY reason we asked to get 1% off the commission was because we already had LOST so much. Not to mention that Carl said he would get the buyer to pay the transfer fee tax, that wasn't true and it never happened. What wasn't fair, was all the time and money we lost by doing business with your company.
On your 5th point, don't pretend that you know me or my family or what's going on. Prior to yesterday I NEVER had a conversation with you, and the reason you called me was for me to delete my review. The reason you have so many 5 star reviews its because when someone has a different opinion, you personally call them to either edit, or take down the review. As you said yesterday, "negative reviews are detrimental to your business."
Don't try to act like you went above and beyond for us, because you didn't. I don't need to reflect on absolutely anything, because everything I said was the truth. Not a false review as you want people to believe. Make peace with yourself and do the right thing for...
Read moreWhat a complete pleasure it was to work with the McAteer & Will team! Having been connected to this community for a long time there were many great realtors I could have chosen from...so why McAteer & Will? It was honestly the level of professional skill they brought with them from start to finish. Our initial home assessment was with Carl Will. He came in and did a thorough walk through of our home. We discussed a lot of details about the property. When he presented us with the price he thought we should list for he was methodical in his reasoning. I left that conversation understanding the market, the rationale behind our listing price, and confidence that our home would sell in a realistic time frame. Our home was listed a few weeks later, and showings were booked quickly. We received our first offer within 24 hours of our listing going live, which was presented immediately. Other showings had already been schedule with realtors both from within McAteer & Will, and other local realtor's. We held off on making any decisions for a few days to allow all of the booked showings to take place. Upon accepting an offer, we got the opportunity to work with Sue Cawley, the transaction coordinator. She was fantastic! She explained the process to us, answered any questions we had as we went. She helped remind us about all of the "to do" things we should take care of like cancelling cable, propane, etc... It was incredibly helpful to have these details furnished to us in such a way. It was just one less thing we had to "think" about. As we got closer to the closing date a lot of details had to be coordinated with the movers, inspection, etc... If I was unavailable to be on site, Lisa McAteer was ready, willing and able. I never had to worry about anything as this team pulled together to take care of all of the details. During this process I also found out that because of the way they pre-qualify buyers within their office, they usually have a vast pool of buyers who are excited to look at any listings. No wonder this company is dominating the market, they really have thought of everything on the buyer and seller side to ensure their clients are getting what they pay for. I found the marketing of our listing to be fantastic. I saw it listed on all major social media sites, as well as Zillow, etc...The timeline from the first walk through to listing was realistic and not stressful. The process pulled together seamlessly to make an extremely pleasant experience. I remember dealing with the agent who sold this house to us. The entire process was a hot mess on the seller side. We never knew what was happening, we were stressed, confused and frustrated. The McAteer & Will team ensured that I never felt that way when selling. I also got an opportunity to speak with the buyers of our home, they left me feeling as though they were having an equally wonderful experience on their end. All in all, this transaction was a complete pleasure from start to finish. This team knows their market, knows their numbers, knows their clients' and absolutely has reinvigorated the real estate market in our area. Work with the BEST, receive the best=MCATEER & WILL for all of your real...
Read moreHaving never bought or sold a house/property before we were understandably very trepidatious approaching this new journey. So many friends and relatives advised interviewing at least three realtors before making our selection. It also helped to have a friend whoâs a very successful realtor in another state put her eyes and ears of experience onto each agent and guide us in selecting the right one. That âright oneâ was Mcateer & Will in Milford PA.
From our initial conversation, I could feel Lisaâs positive high energy coming through the phone. I explained to her that we were clueless as to what we were doing, and she assured me that we would be supported throughout this endeavor.
As I was preparing the house for picture day (which Alex did so beautifully and professionally) I reached out to Lisa and asked her if it I should take down this one specific picture of my parents (who were married for 62 years ) on their wedding day. She said absolutely not, it will help tell the story of the happy home my parents created together as it added a charming touch (this was confirmed by the new ownersđ).
Once the house was listed, Sue Cawley became our go to agent and held our hands throughout the entire process. (I liken it to nervously going to your first day of kindergarten all the way through graduating high school. She was there as a proud momma.) Naturally Lisa was included in our group text mainly staying in the background observing as Sue would mindfully support and guide us.
Nothing is perfect in this world and we did have a hiccup along with a bit of confusion in the very beginning. Once this was brought to their attention and addressed, we were all on the same page and our experience was delightfully smooth and very educational.
Our house sold in a mere 12 days and over the asking price. This was a very emotional time for us as we wanted to ensure our parents legacy while cherishing the memories we enjoyed there. Sue, our voice of experience understood our concerns and cared enough to ask how we were holding up and feeling throughout the entire process. We feel that the couple that purchased our house will no doubt care for and respect it as well as the community and residents that have existed there for decades.
The family at Mcateer & Will GENUINELY CARES ABOUT YOU!! Each member of the team excels at what they do. Anyone you meet at their office will answer any question you have with a knowledgeable smile on their face.
There are numerous choices when it comes to representation when buying or selling a home, Mcateer & Will is a no brainer choice I would make again without hesitation and I highly recommend others do the same.
We wish Lisa and her team continued success as they defend and retain their very deserved title of Number One Keller Williams Realtors in Pike and...
