Even though this store isn't as convenient for me to shop at, the inventory selection is very good and the store is clean. I had just got into the habit of shopping here - that is until this past Friday. During my trip I stoped at the deli counter and saw there was only one employee working. That employee, an older male, was wearing a face shield with no mask overing his mouth or nose, and was handling food while taking inventory. The entrance to this store has signs posted stating that it is a government order that everyone coming into the store wear a mask, so why aren't all of the employees doing the same? Especially employees who are cutting and handling food?!?! A face shield does absolutely nothing to prevent the spread of Covid. It's unthinkable that the management here isn't enforcing basic safety precautions at at time like this. Suffice it to say that I didn't place a deli order, and had to go to a different store to complete my shopping. I’m from Massachusetts, and my S&S up there was nicer, the people were friendlier, and things were cleaner...so I figured this would be my place to shop. I’ve tried, but this recent “renovation” is a huge mess. It takes me twice as long to find things, and the layout must have been designed by someone who has never been to a grocery store before. The gas station customer service needs serious work, and my patience is now at zero. It’s been an interesting year, Stop & Shop, but I’ll be splitting my time between Whole Foods for meats and produce, and Shop Rite for the rest. Why go to a dirty Stop & Shop when there are 2 immaculately clean stores 2...
Read moreI am done shopping here. I have been audited twice during self checkout and both times, the attendants did not know how to do it. So I have to take everything out of my bags, re-scan and rebag them. This completely defeats the purpose of having the app to use for self checkout. I also can't place my bags on the scale to bag as I go.....completely useless. This last time, the attendant began going through the video of us scanning, after she didn't know how to audit, asking us where products were etc, insinuating that we were stealing things.....NO THANK YOU! If I was going to steal, I wouldn't bother being in the checkout line to pay for it. I'll be going elsewhere...
