Ever since a trip to visit my son in TN back in April I have been obsessed with Ice Cream Rolls so of course I had to see if I could find them in CT when visiting in July. I have to admit I was disappointed to discover the place was located in a mall, even more so when both the outside and inside of the mall made me feel like I should have brought some mace with me - very unfriendly patrons in that place and the staff here wasn't much better. The menu choices here pale in comparison to the last place I went and the prices were far more and you got less in the way of "topping" choices. We ended up going with the Strawberries and cream which was okay but nothing to get excited about and unfortunately after being rushed by the employee to place my order I totally forgot to use the 10% off offer in the Yelp app and I certainly wasn't going to attempt to see if they could correct it. We ate our ice cream quickly in the food court and got out of the place before it got dark, nearly getting knocked over by a rude young man who purposely walked right into me, challenging me to...
Read moreWent to the mall last weekend with some friends and was looking for something specific to drink, Thai milk tea, a new favorite of mine. This seemed to be the only place that had it and for an decent sized cup and fair price, the Thai bubble milk tea I had was delicious (with a lot of tapioca balls but I don't care much for those)! The black tapioca balls, or whatever they're made of, were nice and soft and chewy without any weird plastic-y aftertaste. Of course it also came with ice. Really hit the spot, I will probably try to get one as often as possible now, sooo good and just the right amount of sweetness for me! ;w; Watching them roll up ice-cream was neat, too, but I'm not paying extra for fancy, Instagram quality ice-cream unless they have their own signature flavor or something. Seems like a waste of money imo but I appreciate the variety of treats and drinks they have there. Expect the line to be packed every-time, they're quite popular. I'd think they're putting other tea/drink places nearby in the mall out...
Read moreFirst time trying this spot and I'm glad I had the chance to! Nobody's perfect, but it was perfect for an 80 something degree day. It was a choice between Ice and Fire and the Praline ice cream spot in the mall. My coworkers and I chose the former. The concept immediately made us think about Coldstone and whatever happened to them. At any rate, the staff was very kind and patient and the ice cream was delicious. I had the Wide Awake with coffee ice cream, cookies, and caramel while my coworkers had strawberry and mango. It's definitely...
