Recently my friend and I went to Wallgreen located on the address: 100 W Harford St, Milford, PA 18337 and we faced rude service and discrimination from cashier #305 and store manager. When we got everything we needed (beside other purchases we took 4 masks and 6 sanitizers for 2 families of 8 people in total), we came to register and cashier told us that there is a limit for buying masks and sanitizers for each customer "1 item for 1 person". Since there were 2 of us we said: "No Problem! We will buy 1 pack of masks and 1 sanitizer for each one of us". She told us that 1 pack of masks and 1 sanitizes is enough for both of us (!!!), and even though she knew that we were making purchases for 2 families. Also, the Cashier said that we have to bring the rest of the other masks and sanitizers back to the shelfs and put them there. We were confused. Why do we need to do that? We are not working at the store, we are only customers. Also we pointed that there was NO SIGN about this item's limitation, but we agreed to follow the rules. Meanwhile some other products (toilet paper, etc) had signs "1 item for 1 person". We followed those rules too.
The Cashier got upset that we refused to bring the items back to the shelf which we could not buy. She offended us for being irresponsible and selfish, for not thinking about other people and that we are the reason of COVID spread. Which is completely wrong and not true. We just did not know that this store has limitations for masks and sanitizers, because store management did not put any sign for these items for the customer convenience. Meanwhile she was continuing to blame us for nothing and we asked her to be nice and not to talk to us in this manner. She refused to do so and kept talking to us in the same not polite way. We asked to speak with the manager. And the situation got even uglier. Instead of trying to resolve the issue and just simply apologize, the manager made the situation worse:he did not appologige for rude behavior, he refuses to put the sign "1 item for 1 person" for the customers convenience, he refuses to explain why he is not going to put a sign for these items if this store rules really exist. After all of this we assumed that there were no actual rules for these specific items or they just refused to sell items for us because of some kind of descrimination from their side. When we say that it looks like a desrimination manager said that we have to leave the store.
We were not rude, did not offend, did not insult them. Manager left us without saying any words. We started to pack our bags and we were ready to leave when we were called by Police Officer who arrived after the management call. The Police Officer was really nice and he was the only one who was actually understanding us. He expressed his regret to the situation in which we occured. Meeting with the Police Officer was the most pleasant experience from this store.
Finally for 2 purchases (for 2 families) the cashier gave us only 1 pack of masks and 1 sanitizer. This was completely unfair and looked like descrimination. Even Though we were paying separately with separate receipts.
Unfortunately Walgreen chooses to be rude to the customers and calls the Police on them, when customers do not accept their rudeness. Finally my friend and I: did not get any apologies from the cashier or store management did not get permissible amount masks and sanitizers;
We hope that the main Walgreen office will apologize for unacceptable behaviours of their workers and management, and will teach all staff how to behave politely to the customers. Shame...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't usually give businesses bad reviews, I just take my business elsewhere. This was such a horrific experience I have to warn others. After surgery today I went to get my meds, my man had to go in as I was unable to walk. They told him it wasn't ready, (this was at 12:20 pm) give it a half hour. We live fairly close and I was extremely uncomfortable so I was driven home. I called to see if my scripts were ready and was on hold for 25 minutes. My man decided to just go, it was well over 30 mins. He is told again they are not ready, he contacts me to tell me so I call back. On hold for another 20 mins, in the mean time I get a beep, it's Walgreens automated service telling me my scripts are ready. I text him to tell him...he says they say they are not ready....still holding for the pharmacy.... this time I didn't hang up. Someone answered finally. I said that I received a call that my stuff was ready and someone was currently there to pick them up and is being told they aren't ready. She looks in the computer, they were sold...ready at 12:40 and sold at 1:43... (So they were ready for a half hour while my man waited and was told they weren't) I mentioned it to the girl and she snapped at me that they were looking for help, it's busy and they are short staffed....I can understand that I tried to tell her and she cut me off saying my meds have been picked up. I flipped....it is not about how busy you are, it is not about being short staffed. The stuff was ready the whole time he waited and was told it wasn't, I received a phone call saying it was ready and staff says it wasn't.. DON'T CONTACT YOUR CUSTOMERS AND TELL THEM THEIR MEDICATION IS READY IF IT'S NOT! LEARN YOUR JOB WELL ENOUGH TO SEE THAT A SCRIPT IS READY WHEN IT IS, DON'T MAKE PEOPLE WAIT FOR NOTHING, OUR TIME IS PRECIOUS AND WE CAN'T GET IT BACK. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere, I don't frequent the pharmacy but I expect to be treated fairly. Looking for a family owned place for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give negative stars for this pharmacy I would. Scheduled 2 appt for rabies vaccines for 2 different people both stage 1 doses online through their website, four days ago . Received multiple messages and texts to confirm these 2 appointments. Go to walgreens (this location milford pa) today 8:50am. STRIKE ONE- pharmacy claims to be open at 9am today 7-29. Pharmacy was not open until 9:15am. (After my 9:00 am appt for myself and 9:15am appt for my girlfriend) Myself and my girlfriend took off to get these vaccines. Pharmacist (Ronald) directly mentions " we may not even have them" even though walgreens confirmed we would be ready for today multiple times. Then pharmacist finally goes " oh we have one dose. We can get that ready for you just give us a bit." Waited until 9:50 am curious as to what's going on. Pharmacist was just taking personal calls the entire time based on how he spoke to the person on the phone. Pharmacist is finally ready about 10am. I get in the back. "Pharmacist says sorry it took so long. You saw how busy we were" and yet can't open a business on time. Spoke to someone for almost an hour about nonsense.tried to blame me for things taking so long. Completely and utterly incompetent pharmacist Ronald is rude, unprofessional, and ill be putting a complaint directly with walgreens and the board of pharmacy specialties! Especially with my video with my cell phone that was recording in my breast pocket. Hope the rudeness...
