Cheap is expensive. My experience with this airline embodies that adage. If you want a trip that is free of headaches, avoid this airline like the plague. My wife and son booked a flight from San Francisco to Seoul. The end destination was Saipan. During boarding, it emerged that the second ticket from Seoul to Saipan was invalid as a result of US aviation laws, namely, Cabotage. To avoid cabotage, my wife and son would either have to stay for 5 days in Seoul or fly to Saipan in an American airline. My wife was in the process of canceling the 2nd problematic ticket, which would have made Seoul her final destination when they kicked her and our 5-year-old son off the aircraft. My wife was forced to purchase a new ticket to Saipan for double the price via a different airline. We have since tried to file a grievance with the company, but contacting the airline is a near impossible quest. The demagogues of Asiana airlines don't talk to passengers on the phone, but instead, they advise you to leave a customer comment on their website. The contact to flight reservation goes through just fine because they have no problem selling you another flight, but as soon as problems arise, and trust me, they will, there is no one to assist you. And if you are lucky to reach someone on the phone, they airline will not take any responsibility for any problems even if they are at fault. They will ask you to go vent in the customer comments. And that is, if you don't fall victim to fraudsters while trying to contact the airline and talk to someone who can troubleshoot your travel problems. Asiana is a shady airline conducting obscure...

A few days later, they simply said the previous person gave the wrong answer and had left the company. What a classic โblame the internโ story! Then they tried to give me really hard times asking for the original receipts. BUT Iโve repeatedly told them the luggages were purchased abroad and the receipts are not available, and asked them to proceed given this situation, but they pretended not understand it.
