One of the worst hair cut in my life. Everyone had some not good experience with their hair cut but I would rate this at the bottom. I would have given 0 star if possible. I went to this place with my son for the first time today Jan 28, 2024 because I wanted to try as it was near to my house to which I moved recently. I called before to find out what's the wait which the person gave no definite answer. When reached there, it was wait for over 45 minutes which she could have been advised on the phone for me to plan better. Anyway, I waited and my hair cutter used combs and scissors uncleaned from the previous hair cut. The cloth wrap was dirty and smell stale.
The hair cut was horrible, uneven and in state that I can't even comb my hair. After cutting, she didn't even comb to see if the cut is proper or not. Despite of telling that back needs to be straight, she mad it rounded (Can't do anything now until my hair grows back). My son cried the whole way back home as he is now looking cartoon character. He has straight and thick hair and the hair dresser needs to be careful how to manage this situation. But voila - his hair dresser has no idea what to do, not sure they even have a proper qualified people working there.
Requested clean up hair around the ear and she retorted that she can't clean inside the ear lobe but only outside (now where I am supposed to get that done). This is first time I heard this excuse in the last 25 years. SO I asked to do whatever she can and I reached home and checked, even outside of ear was not done properly.
This was my first and now the last visit to this saloon. It was money...
Read moreThis morning, I brought my teenage son to the Supercuts at Morris Avenue of Short Hills. There was no customer until we arrived. A mid-age Indian woman proactively took my son to a chair on the back of the store. She began to cut my sonâs hair. Then other customers came and were served too. Unfortunately, the Indian woman obviously is a new staff and never be trained. She used my sonâs hair for her haircut training. My son was the first served and the last one got finished. My sonâs hair supposed to be the simplest cut that even me can cut very well. But the Indian woman totally ruined my sonâs hair. And the more infuriating for us is my sonâs clothes were full of hair especially the back of the cloth! She was not only ruin my sonâs hair but also his clothes. I want to ask: Why such bad and terrible staff ( the mid-age Indian woman ) didnât ask for our permission if we agree her to take my son as a training object ? She took the initiative to come up for my son while other barbers were idle. We felt very unfair ! We paid the same price as other customers just for the terrible haircut ? Until now, I am still angry! Definitely, never be back to the bad & terrible...
Read moreThis was the worst ever salon experience my eight year old son has had! Apparently a newly trained / apprentice was given charge of my son's lovely locks. She was painfully slow and even after my explicit instructions to the kind of style I wanted, she made three unsuccessful attempts and didn't even get close. My son steadily kept slouching down the chair, tired of trying to accommodate to her pace and was in tears after forty minutes of the "stylist's" groping with his hair. What was worse - none of the other senior staff around came to his rescue till I gently expressed my desire to abandon the hair cut - and even then all I got was a frown as if I was wasting there time. The lady who took over showed no empathy at all to my son's tears and all he got was a firm "what's wrong" from her!! Let alone a child, this experience would have tested the endurance of an adult. I would challenge any of the Supercuts staff to put their own child through this predicament. I gave this one star since my daughter got a decent cut. Overall - rude and in considerate staff with no sense whatsoever of dealing with kids and making clients...
