Highly unprofessional business license staff. Company I work for scheduled a business license inspection for 9/18. We received an email stating it was changed to 9/21 but was corrected back to original date 9/18. Sent our worker out there to meet the inspector and never showed up. Called Amy Barber and left a voicemail to call me back. Never did. I called a number that was listed on the email confirmation thinking it was the inspector, turns out it was a plumber and he had no idea who I was or what I was talking about. Sent an email out asking why that confirmation was sent to us and if it was a mistake. Received an email back from Rebecca Hansen stating that it was our inspection is scheduled on 9/21 and to let them know if it was scheduled in error, still not answering my question whether the email confirmation I received was an error on their end. We did not receive an email confirmation for our inspection with our correct entity listed. We were sent the incorrect one and Millcreek would not own up to that mistake. Rebecca then states that I need to communicate with our plumber (even though we do not know each other) no idea what she was talking about. I told her if a plumber is needed to walk through our property or what was the reason the plumber and I got mixed into the email. She then forwards me an email from the plumber that I have never seen before and then email the following: "The entity number you are using, Crisol, is not correct. Please provide the correct entity number, and stop using (plumber name)" NEVER has our company used this plumbers entity number, she has no idea what she was talking about and was absolutely...
Read moreI've never been to this location, I'm reviewing the city and their website. I just feel frustrated that the City of Millcreek put it 2 hour parking limits on the street near my apartment. My apartment has limited parking at times, and the street is the closest alternative. They ruthlessly ticketed violators when they installed the signs. I wasn't a victim, but I know some of my neighbors aren't well to do. I'm always frustrated when politicians, who are well off financially, are out of touch with the reality that the rest of us face. They've drafted grand plans to revitalize and redevelop the area, and they pat themselves on the back knowing that property values will now increase thus enriching themselves or friends. The rest of us are wondering if we'll ever be able to own a home in the Salt Lake Valley, or how we're going to to continue paying ever increasing rent while wages stagnate. They demolish "blighted" properties to build housing and commercial projects which the previous residents can't afford. The website suggests they are working to be transparent. I haven't even tried to contact them because I learned at a young age that those are just words. Millcreek has some violent crime, and graffiti problems. We struggle with homelessness, and panhandlers. Anecdotally, I heard a drug dealer lived across the street from the UPD precinct. (this was years ago). 2 hour parking limits offer me little or no comfort when I see the high threshold...
Read moreThe girl at the front desk at Millcreek Business License City Hall is very helpful. But, some of the other staff are quite unprofessional.
I went there to ask a question about the requirement for a permit to alter a commercial space. The helpful front office receptionist went and got Kandi to help.
"Kandi was very unprofessional. She acted as if I was there to bother her.
I was taken aback by her brash attitude and sharp-sounding words, and I wondered if that's how she's always or if maybe she was having a bad day. Nevertheless, working for the public and being paid by public tax dollars should guarantee citizens the right to expect common acts of customer service skills displayed through decency.
I have two businesses in Millcreek and am trying to open a third. Jim Hardy is very professional, the front desk staffs are professional, and so is Miss Amy Barber. But Kandi is very, very disrespectful.
I hope the person in charge of Milcreek City Hall will do something about this. Some type of...
