If I could give it negative stars I would, a million negative stars. On May 12, 2020, I went to this Home Depot to purchase hardware for my doors. I get to the front of the self checkout line and two slots open up on the left so I head to the furthest one. I'm almost there and Stephanie at the self checkout station tells me that I can scan my stuff and then proceeds to grab another customer form the front area and cut me off. Mildly frustrated, I go back to the line and wait. Finally another station opens up - so I head there but notice that the lady isn't making any moves to clean any of the self checkout stations - literally her job.
I left self check-out for a register where I pay for my items. As I get to the exit I realize I didn't check-in on Yelp. So I try to check in but it takes a bit. I also realize I don't have any pictures so I head back toward the self check-out as I wanted to take a picture of the cleaning supplies that are set up at the self checkout table. But Stephanie was behind me when I turned around so the pic is her blocking the station as she walked back in front of me. But whatever, I got a pic, so I go back toward the exit to not block people and try to check-in again and upload my picture.
So now I'm standing to the side of the exit trying to do my check-in when I hear a woman someone "did she pay? did she pay for that?" and I think weird. Then she comes up on the right of me and says "Excuse me, did you pay for that?" - it's Stephanie who's now left her station again to question whether or not I've paid for my purchase! I told her yes, showed her my receipt, which was in my right hand, the hand closest to her and visible the entire time I was standing there and asked her why she was asking me if I paid - she said she just wanted to check. I then asked why she was targeting me and she said she wasn't. I asked if she asked everyone whether or not they paid which caught her off-guard so she hesitated and then said if they're standing around then yes - what type of reasoning is that? I told her if I wanted to steal I wouldn't have stood here for 5 min to wait for her to question me, that I would have run out long before that. RIDICULOUS!
I was upset so I just left and loaded up my purchase into my car but was so angry I went back and told Cory, the manager, my story and he apologized and said he'd take care of it as he walked me out while I was telling him my story! Everyone I spoke with was white and I'm not. I feel like it was definitely racial profiling by Stephanie.
I reported this to corporate on June 1, 2020 and followed up with the picture of Stephanie and my receipt. It's now June 24 and still no word. I will no longer shop at a place that is okay with...

Less than 3 months later my oven isnt heating to temp..sometimes wont even come on. My carbon monoxide detector goes off and i call Amana they come service it. The man says if this happens again they need to replace the range.. So 9 months after my purchase my carbon monoxide detector goes off again. Its a holiday weekend so i had to pay out of my own pocket to make sure its safe.. This takes us 4 months later which is 1 year and 1 month after my purchase my detector is going off again the oven is not heating to temp correctly and now since it is 1 month after my warrenty is up there is nothing they can do to help me. I mean nothing. I was offered a 10% discount to come buy another range. Are you kidding me. So my $500.00 and my family safety means nothing to them. I have now been without a stove for 4 or 5 weeks and im out $500.00 Im appalled that they would disregard the fact they sold me a product that was faulty serviced 3 times in a year and 1 month and they take no responsibility.
