Edit: I have used this gym a few more times since this review. The recumbent bike keeps shutting off, the gym equipment is very cramped and the bathrooms are frequently trashed and all occupied late at night. Also had a few interactions with rude members. It's a shame that management is just putting a generic reply message instead of actually reading reviews.
Not a bad gym. I am an Anytime Fitness member through Active and Fit, so this was my first time at this gym, but I was already a member. It looked unusual from the outside, being housed in a Quonset hut, but it actually looked pretty cool inside. The bathrooms were in pretty good condition, having plenty of bench space to put your stuff and sit down if you need to. I only used the recumbent bike (there's just one of those), but had a look around and there's a ton of different gym equipment, especially free weights, more than a lot of the Anytimes I have been to. I have to say that the cardio stuff up front is a little too close together, it's hard to walk between them and it's probably not pleasant if someone is using the piece of equipment...
Read moreThe staff and management at this gym are friendly, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. As a smaller gym, it can feel crowded during peak hours, which makes it difficult to complete a workout without bumping into others. However, during off-peak times, it’s a great place to train.
The main issue I encountered was with the membership cancellation process. Despite emailing the manager to cancel my membership, it was not processed. I continued to be charged for three months after my cancellation request and was eventually sent to collections. I have documentation of my cancellation email, but it was not acknowledged or accepted. I would advise potential members to exercise caution, especially if you anticipate moving or needing to cancel your membership...
Read moreSpent over a year with them, went to month-to-month contract but they wouldn't let me cancel bc I didn't have enough money to pay my last month. In the contract you sign, it says you must be current before you can cancel so I was continued to be charged. I turned in my key anyway thinking they would at least stop charging me yet they continued to charge me for months of services I didn't even have a key for! I had I think $90 to pay, now it is over $300 they are still charging me. To me, it's not even about the money, it's about the client relationship. Had this resolved I would feel comfortable getting back with Anytime Fitness but I can't say I feel that way after all of this....
