My water heater went out in our home. We called ahead and spoke to a nice women on the phone that stated they what we needed. My husband drove to store from Perrin. My husband couldn't find the size water heater so asked the "grumpy" older man in the plumbing dept to assist and was assisted but with attitude. My husband never complains but this man literally seemed put out and continued to give my husband wrong information. My husband needed to purchase a shut off valve for the purchased water heater the employee tried to sell my husband the wrong parts. Thankfully my husband always checks these things himself because we don't live 10 minutes from anywhere and of course they were wrong. My husband being tired of the employees attitude and trying to sell him wrong items, he went after purchasing the water heater at Sutherlands on over to Ace Hardware where he was treated with great service and correct parts. Read moreI visited there today with a return. The cashier and manager were both extremely rude to my husband and I. I could not believe how horrible their customer service was. They tried to accuse my husband for returning the item in poor condition (when it was actually never used) along with saying there was a missing item in the box that was never even there to begin with. When we had them show us what they were talking about they then agreed to an exchange because there was in fact nothing wrong with it. When we got the new item home we even realized the other item they claimed to be missing still wasn’t in the new box! The manager was yelling everything he had accused my husband for in front of the entire store. I then proceeded to tell him that when I even first purchased the item for my husband on his birthday I made it home and the main item wasn’t even in the crushed box they handed me and I had to go back up there and get it. The cashier lady yellled at him to move to the next lane , because the lane he was at, was not open ( my husband had no problem no moving ). It was her tone of voice witch took us by surprise ! I was looking at a few items before we checked out. And I turned to see her yelling at my husband , I was in disbelief ! I came up to the register and asked( in English ) if lane 2 was open ? She said yes, but by that time her tone of voice had calmed down. She assumed my husband and I did not speak English! There was no reason for her to speak that way to my him !
