Anderson Realty — Local services in Minneapolis

Long time sitting on this review, so here goes.

When I started working with Greta, I got pitch that she was knowledge and knows how to make a deal happen. We chose a house on in the middle of Uptown that on surface level needed updated.

So far close to year of owning the house, various problems surfaced that the inspector didn't look for or test for. Turns out in Minnesota, house inspectors are not licensed so its like they can buy a certificate online and sell a service. The inspector she recommend only did surface level/eye ball check and didn't go any deeper.

As for the deal on the house, a lot of the "deferred maintenance" items that Greta didn't get the cost off from the list price of house and final sales price are now my problem. ie leaking roof that wasn't mentioned in any documents, broken boiler that was a safety hazard to my unit, broken or unaddressed issue the tenant told the previous owner on. From my perspective close to year in, she got the deal that the seller wanted and did not get me back anything in return.

I lost my job before the deal closed and I should have followed my gut feeling not to close on this house or work with Greta. Instead, I got caught up in not wanting to live in an apartment that I didn't see thru the hand wavy dialogue and clear lack of push to get the deal I wanted...

Relocating to the twin cities it was important to me to find a local real estate company to work with. I could not be happier with our experience. We worked with Sarah at Anderson Realty and had an amazing experience. A lot of our home search occurred from afar and Sarah made this experience a breeze. She was encouraging and helpful when deciding on what area (s) to search in Minneapolis. She navigated our unique requirements (multigenerational living with sometimes very different wants/needs) flawlessly. She was extremely organized, professional, and personable. She was supportive and encouraging and always gave excellent advice when trying to decide on a competitive offer in a difficult market. In the end I think we found the perfect home for our family and we are more than happy with the path we took with Sarah and Anderson realty to get here.
