Francis Burger Joint — Restaurant in Minneapolis

Cozy, hip, stylish, and very comfortable burger joint with amazing service. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted. It's open seating; sit down, scan the QR code at the table, and place your order. I recommend spacing your order out if you're ordering a few items and creating a tab. The food came out fairly quickly and all at the same time, so next time, I will order my salad and wine first, then add my burger and dessert after I finish.

I ordered the Francis Burger and added bacon and jalapenos. It came with fries. I had half an order of wedge salad. For my beverage, I took advantage of the happy hour and ordered a glass of wine $4, and for dessert, I had a lavender milkshake. Everything was 10/10, seriously, no complaints.

The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. This is a no tip establishment, and everyone I interacted with had a smile, was friendly, and appeared to enjoy their job.

Whatever dressing they use on the salad was fire , and the toppings were very fresh, and the half portion was very filling. The burger was very juicy, all the ingredients were fresh, the bun was soft, and the cheese had a good texture and was actually melted. I enjoyed every bite, and the fries were very crispy and fried to perfection. The sauce that I ordered on the side, let's just say, I should have ordered two. The lavender milkshake was tasty and had no hint of artificial flavors. I only recommend ordering this if you enjoy lavender.

The inside is just funky and hip, and the music playlist was perfect, perfect tunes while enjoying a meal.

Today was my first time trying Francis and the food was amazing. However, the service I received was very disappointing. Upon entering the restaurant I was the first person to sit at the bar and I received the menu and water. Great!

I then decided on food and the bartender put my order in. Before receiving my food of course others began to sit at the bar. One couple was given details about the special items you have on the menu for Valentine’s Day.. which I wasn’t made aware when I sat down. Another couple was asked if they were having drinks.

My food finally comes out. Which was really good. I have no complaints about that! The couple next to me receives their food. After taking a few bites they’re asked if everything is okay with the food I however am not asked that at all. Down to the final bite of my food I’m then asked “Are you doing ok?” Before then I was not acknowledged at all. I felt completely over looked to the point I had to ask a different bartender for a drink.

After finishing my food, I asked for my bill and received that. The couple aside of me is finishing their food and the bartender then asks them if they’re interested in having dessert.. the same bartender that just gave me my bill and didn’t mention anything about dessert to me. Nor did she ask if I was interested in any. I paid the bill & left.

Phenomenal experience! I came here for the first time today due to the high reviews. Prior to arriving, I was not aware this was a plant based restaurant! I found out when I arrived and saw the sign. This made me even more curious to try. The ambience of this restaurant is amazing! It very cute and cozy. They have overhead doors which I assume is open during the summer to allow outdoor seating. The restaurant is fairly small but I do appreciate that they have their own parking lot as street parking can be very frustrating. The manager I presume was phenomenal, he stopped by our table and offered assistance as well as suggestions. He was super knowledgeable and very personable. After placing our orders, the food arrived fairly quickly. Everything was absolutely amaaaaazing!! To my knowledge, this was my first plant based burger and it exceeded all expectations. My partner who is very skeptical of plant based burgers absolutely loved it! I HIGHly recommend this place based on the quality of the food and the service.
