The worst experience I've ever had with a business - what’s included below barely scratches the surface.
The building itself is fine and the North Loop is great. However, avoid any building managed by Willow Bridge (formerly Lincoln Property Management).
When we were offered (modest) payment as compensation for egregious maintenance issues spanning multiple months, we were asked to sign a non-disparagement agreement. The only reason I'm able to write this review is because I refused to sign. Keep that in mind when you read other reviews. Ultimately, Willow Bridge failed to fix the issues in our unit while we lived in it.
Staff are generally unprofessional and uninformed. One staff member told us that the diffuser in the lobby may be there to mask the smell of pet waste, sewage, and garbage. I asked what the diffuser was emitting because I have asthma (which they told me was a personal issue). It took several days for them to track down information about what the unmarked object was emitting and refused to unplug it in the meantime. Able-bodied property managers and other associates, without placards or plates, have used the handicap parking as a reserved space for their personal vehicles from time to time.
Staff is unapologetically bad. If given feedback, they simply attempt to downplay, dodge, and if all else fails, throw one another under the bus - anything, but admit the mistake, apologize, and move on. Worse, management will take time to pat themselves on the back for how much better they are at this than the last management company. They consistently invite the comparison without realizing how unfavorable that is to them.
Willow Bridge staff have an entirely unearned sense of accomplishment. Staff seems to be great at planning social events but entirely unequipped to deal with any sort of real issue. In all sincerity, I've lived in dumps better run than this. I'm grateful to have left.
I'd suggest any apology offered on a public review, and only after I've left, can only be interpreted as a performative effort to save face. A total lack...
Read moreI've been living at Solhavn for well over a year and couldn't be happier with my experience here. The building is beautiful and very well maintained. Solhavn is also perfectly located in a great neighborhood with many fantastic bars and restaurants but also is in a position where it’s quiet at night and on weekends. They’re very pet friendly which is awesome for me and dog – the sidewalks around the building are heated which is great in the winter, they don’t have to lay down salt which isn’t good for a dog’s paws. There are a ton of great community spaces you can use when you have cabin fever. My apartment was right off the courtyard, so I spent a lot of summer nights out there grilling out with a glass of wine. There’s also an incredible rooftop space with a great view of downtown, plenty of seating areas, more grills and a fire pit. One of my favorite things was that building staff would drop off packages inside your apartment if you wanted – very convenient! Their front office staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s great to live in an apartment community where the staff honestly cares about the quality of life for the tenants. I’ve lived in a lot of different apartments around the country over the years – that’s...
Read moreThere are too many examples of poor management to list in a single review, but the most egregious is that we lived with multiple water leaks in our ceiling for months (a picture from one of the leaks is included for reference.) Our first maintenance request to address this issue kicked off a time consuming and frustrating back and forth with building management. Not only was the water damaging our personal items, but it was a complete inconvenience. We became accustomed to moving our belongings in the middle of the night after being woken by the sound of dripping water.
After months of active leaks, the final straw was when the water started leaking onto our baby's crib. We eventually made the difficult decision to move to a more expensive unit, which we did with a newborn, without help from WillowBridge.
This review would be a lot different if staff had more accountability in addressing resident concerns, persistent maintenance issues, or even their own mistakes.
The location is great and the building is mostly fine, but I found that interacting with the building management team was mostly unpleasant and...
