Wow, just my luck. I must have hit you at a bad time! Last Thursday in Carver I grabbed a burger to go from your truck and it sure the heck didn’t look anything like those you have pictured here! First off, it was ready in about 40 seconds so it wasn’t grilled fresh and it’s not like the truck was busy. I opened the greasy bag to reveal a greasy wrap, then opened the bun to find a tiny piece of cheese, then tried to soak some of the grease up from the bun. When I bit into it, it was like a sponge filled with butter dripping all over the place and the burger was extremely salty. I don’t know if you were just trying to get rid of the last burger or what but I would have been embarrassed selling that thing! I felt pretty screwed especially for $15 bucks and a $2.59 tip on top of that! Really wish I would’ve thought of taking a picture!

As I mentioned, I’m sure I hit you at a bad time. I am pretty sure I am one of the few who have had this kind of experience, and I do plan on trying parlor again, just to verify! I appreciate your offer for the gift card, but don’t feel that is necessary. Thanks for your...

This review is for the food truck at Back Channel. We visited on a calm Sunday evening and were met with signs at the window asking for guests to take minimal condiments. There were no napkins or utensils out for use, we had to ask for those. Alright - we understand - reduce waste, but is withholding normal dining tools and signs that are guilting people into it really necessary?
We waited 20ish minutes for the burger + fries after ordering. Even with the slow crowd, it was only semi-warm upon opening the wrapper. Two of us split the burger and both bit in at the same time. SO SALTY, to the point it puckered our mouths. We like salt, we know it adds to recipes in moderate doses, and this was waaaay above and beyond that. The fries seemed to be multi-fried like the batch had been sitting out and they dipped them to warm up, resulting in overly greasy and somewhat hard fries.
Our biggest gripe, though, is the 20% mandatory service fee with the pressure to add 25% tip on top of that fee ON TOP of an already $18 salt burger + $6 grease fries. When we asked about the service fee + tip the young fellow said it was so they could have a liveable wage. This should be on the employer to offer liveable wages for their employees, should it not? Had we caved for all of these added fees we’d be paying 50% food and 50% “service” … “service” from a food truck. Parlor may need to reevaluate how to handle costs and take care of their employees so the pressure is not on the guests. Overall, not only did the food leave a bad taste in our mouths, so did the exorbitant...
Read moreParlour USED to have the absolutely best burger in town and most amazing mixed drinks. The burgers USED to have the most mouth watering, delicious patties of all time. Crispy smash burger edges with the greatest flavor and fall apart texture. The drinks were some of my most memorable I have ever had. WHAT HAPPENED?!? I went a couple days ago looking forward to having an amazing dinner and some drinks and was severely let down. Something changed. The burger seemed like a regular run of the mill burger patty with next to no flavor. The patty is supposed to have three of the most expensive and delicious cuts of meats, but this patty seemed to be made of 90/10 ground beef. The food came out very fast which is unlike how it used to be. Makes me think they are not putting in the time and care that they used too, or are pre making food before I order. Their old burger out of a food truck was better than what I got the other night. Hell, My local bar has a better burger with more flavor for $6. The drinks were also extremely weak. They tasted amazing and were so smooth, But I fear because they were not made as strong as they used to be. The old fashioned was the best I've ever had but I barely felt them and I had TWO. This basement bar has become a shell of it's former self. I don't think I can ever bring myself back here to eat. Not to mention it's $40 for two burgers and a basket of fries... I would be willing to pay $20 for an old Parlour burger. But this new recipe they have is just sub par. RIP the old Parlour. Just not what it...
