Easy sign up via silver sneakers.

The app download was a breeze which provides a QR code daily for access.

They even have VIP section with massage chairs, heat booths, water massage, etc.

I usually show up between 7:00 and 9:00 am.

Easy parking, easy entry, front desk staff are friendly. Free classes for various training needs.

As with all businesses, staffing is limited for training classes.

I like the place both winter and summer. TV monitors are plentiful and music is decent.

Headphones or ear buds are a must if you want to stay focused.

Most members are friendly and follow the rules with a few habitual rule breakers who think they can do anything. (Common actions from "rules are for sheep" crowd)

Example, those of us who use the 30 minute workout area just to do a single exercise. (Newsflash - the 30 minute area is for those of us doing the 30 minute workout. Read the sign at the entrance.)

Then there are the use the equipment and not wipe it down gang .... I just can't wait to wallow in your body excretions! (guessing they are the not wash your hands after bathroom use gang) Again read the signs!

Oh yeah, Americans don't or can't read anymore, oops I forgot, so I guess this post is simply a gesture in futility.

My guess is they know better but they know they will not be corrected - God forbidden they burn calories cleaning up after themselves!

In closing, I like the place, I appreciate the equipment is regularly maintained for the stuff I use.

It works for me, but is not for everybody.

Although I live in Loretto, I make the drive to come to the Ridgedale location because of how comfortable I feel at this Planet Fitness. The staff is SO friendly and helpful! They always have a warm greeting (always addressing me and fellow gym members by first name before we even scan/check in). They make the effort to remember us all and always have welcoming smiles and friendly conversations, remembering our specific interests even -which really makes this feel like a space where we’re surrounded by genuinely kind and judge-free, caring individuals who are there to support us in becoming healthier individuals. The friendly salutations they offer upon walking in automatically boosts my mood and motivation that I made the right choice to go to the gym that day. I feel supported along my fitness journey at this location as I work on becoming a healthier and happier version of myself! This gym not only has all the machines I am preferable to, but it also has incredible perks - the PF Black Card membership is such a great deal especially when considering all that it includes! This is the only gym I’ve ever been able to stay consistent with returning to and I really believe it’s because of the wonderful staff and the great vibes from fellow members! I highly recommend this gym and talk it up so much that my sister even committed to a membership and has been becoming a healthier version of herself as well. UPDATE: given the positive response of the owner, I'm going to change my stars and give them a chance. If the listed hours do not match up with the actual open hours again though, I'm going to switch my change back and leave it.

This is the second Monday in a row that I’m looking for an open planet fitness really early in the morning. Same as last week: Google and the planet fitness website both say this Ridgedale location is open 24 hours on Monday. Last week I actually went there and it was fully closed and locked. This morning I called instead of heading over, and after calling over and over, there’s no one there answering the phones.

I left a pleasant message last Monday asking for a call from the manager. That didn’t happen, and the hours were magically changed to state they didn’t open until 5:00 am on Mondays.
