Ruscello at Nordstrom — Restaurant in Minnetonka

I really enjoyed coming to this restaurant. It’s a hidden gem inside the Ridgedale Mall. My favorite drink is the golden hour with vodka. My daughter likes the golden hour without any alcohol. Either way it tastes wonderful. She enjoys the appetizer of chicken tacos. I like the Turkey bacon, avocado sandwich. I love the fries as well. They are well seasoned and perfectly crispy. I also really like the olive aïoli. Truly one of a kind. I have not had anything like it anywhere else and it is absolutely delicious. The service has always been great except for this time that I came. I had asked for no tomato which isn’t that big of a deal. I can always just pick it off and it came with the tomato. I also asked for extra olive aïoli somehow I got a side of mayonnaise. It wasn’t really all that busy either, and I couldn’t find the server to be able to get me my extra aïoli sauce. I also had to ask the server if I could, please have water after the food was served because I was never offered any...

We decided to find a place to eat on a Friday night. Searched Open Table and found Ruscello at Nordstrom’s at Ridgedale. Made a reservation 30 min ahead of time. So, Ruscello had my reservation, name and phone number at this point.

It took us 20 min to get to Ruscello. We check in and are told “We have your table but the kitchen is backed up so we cannot take your order for at least an hour. Would you like to be seated?”

Umm, no. Cancel our reservation. We are leaving.

Hey, Ruscello! You took our reservation knowing that you could not serve us for over an hour. Are you kidding me? You could not call me or text me telling me about the issue? You wait until we arrive. Terrible.

On Sunday December 9th 4 of us had lunch in Ruscellos. I had the lobster rosotto. It was served in a large dish with very little in it. It was tasty but certainly was not very satisfying. The only other item served with this lunch was a tiny dinner roll. It was a $23. disappointment. I had the most expensive dish at our table. Also one of us had a bloody mary which none of us could drink. There was a tear in the seat of the booth we were seated in.
